In 11th you can opt for any stream to become a lawyer. But I would recommend you to take arts side as political science would be beneficial there.

To become a lawyer after 12th .. You have to follow these steps.

As discussed above, after 12th students can pursue the integrated law programme which is of 5 years (2+3). For this, they have to appear for entrance exams for admission to specific colleges. Some of the most important law entrance exams with their respective eligibility have been discussed below:

Entrance exam  and their detailsare -

• CLAT UG : The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is conducted by the National Law Universities (NLU) across India for admission to undergraduate law programmes at 19 NLUs and other private as well state law colleges. As per its eligibility criteria, students should have qualified 12th standard with at least 45% marks in aggregate. The exam analyses a students ability in Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics. Usually, there are 200 multiple choice questions in the paper with 1 mark per question. The annual exam is generally held in mid May and the results are out by the end of the same month. Through CLAT PG students can go for postgraduate law programmes and explore a career as a lawyer.
• AILET : The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is administered by the National Law University, Delhi. It facilitates admission to five-year integrated programmes through the UG entrance test. The exam is conducted in the first week of May and tests a student’s capability in English, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude, Reasoning and Mathematics. To be eligible for AILET, students should have cleared class 12 with minimum 50% marks.

• DU LLB : This entrance test is conducted by the Delhi university for admission to the three-year law programmes at the Faculty of Law. To appear for the test, students should have a bachelors degree with 50% marks. The exam is generally held in the first week of July.

• Besides the above mentioned programmes, there are other entrance tests like IPU CET LLB, BHU UET LLB, Christ University Law etc.

• LSAT India : The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) India test is conducted by Pearson Vue for admission to five-year integrated law programmes in over 85 law schools in India. The standardized test has 100 questions and analyses a candidates reading and reasoning skills. The entrance test is held in mid May. To appear students just need to qualify 12th. However, the admission law schools depend on the specific criteria for qualifying marks in 12th.

Right now you're in VIIth standard, you're too young, it's good that you are already thinking upon career choices, you cannot go to law school after 10th standard, let me just brief you about law program,

basically law programs are of two types, first is integrated one based on 10+2 qualification for a duration of five years in many forms such as BA-LLB, BBA-LLB,BCom-LLB , BCA-LLB, BSc-LLB etc, and then there is  three year duration LLB is based on graduation degree.

Eligibility of integrated law program is having passed 10+2 from a recognized board with minimum 50% aggregate, there's relaxation of 5% in case of reserved category.

• Panjab Univ. Chandigarh for admission into UILS Panjab University Chandigarh
• AMU Aligarh for admission into Faculty of Law, AMU
• Jamia Milia, Delhi for admission into Faculty of Law, Jamia Milia Islamia
• LAWCET of Andhra Pradesh, accepted by all law colleges in AP affiliated to state universities
• CEE - Kerala, accepted by four government Law colleges of Kerala

Next comes the three year LLB program for which eligibility criteria is candidate needs to passed Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university  with 45% marks and in case reserved category it's 40%. Universities like DU and BHU require minimum 50% marks while universities like Kurukshetra, Rohtak, Meerut require  only 45% marks in graduation. Here only admission process can be done through academic merit or done through entrance test as follows-

In order to sit in the judicial exams of various states you must hold a degree in law and must be a law graduate from a Bar Council of India recognized law college. It doesn't matter whether you have done law from a higher ranked college or a lower one. However, you should maintain a high percentage in your semester exams as it will prove to be helpful.

There are 2 types of law courses in law which is 5 years course and 3 years course you can pursue 5 years course after completing your high school that is 12th and you can pursue 3 years law after completing graduation in any stream there is a age limit for pursuing 5 years course but there is no any age limit for pursuing 3 years course, no matter if you are 50 years of age you are free to pursue 3 years law course.
