can i become a lecturer in polytechnic college after completing BE

Ishita 13th Aug, 2024

Hello Aspirant

I'm assuming by BE you mean Bachelor in Engineering. In this case, yes, you are eligible to become a lecturer at a polytechnic college.

The eligibility criteria for a lecturer, in engineering, are that the candidate must have a valid degree from a UGC-recognised college/university. They must have cleared the UGC-NET exam in the field of  Engineering. For good institutions, they even ask for a PhD and a good number of experiences.

Hope this helps

Hello aspirant,

To become a biology professor, you should start by obtaining a bachelor's degree in biology, followed by a master's degree. Subsequently, you must clear the NET LS examination according to UGC guidelines. From 2023 onwards, a PhD in the relevant subject is mandatory for the role of an assistant professor. If you haven't completed your bachelor's yet, ensure you also pursue a PhD before applying for the position.
