First of all, I want to tell you that I am presently a B.Tech student only so I have some idea about this.

I have taken CSE core for my first year because without specialization for first year, will automatically let you know that in which field you are able to get good scope and you are also talented in that.

You can take CSE with AI and ML also for First year, there are no disadvantages for it but only one specialization subject will add and you have to clear the semester exams in all subjects.

According to me, if you want to take then choose CSE core for first year because colleges have provision that, if a student scores more than 8.5 GPA score in his/her semester exam for first year then he can shift between the courses easily.

So, There is an alternative option already available for you. Only you have to give better output in your first year exams for changing the stream.

According to the placement statistics and Alumni reviews, I will suggest that VASAVI IT will be a better decision over VNRVJIT IT. Other reasonings to support my suggestions -

1. Both the colleges have good infrastructure, and concerned labs are also great.

2. As VASAVI comes under Osmania University, question paper toughness and paper correction are quite reasonable compared to VNRVJIT. Their question paper is relatively standard after becoming Autonomous.

3. Coming to faculty, both the colleges have almost the same quality of faculty. Few are good in their fields but will have a tough time teaching concepts.

4. Finally, the most critical aspect anyone would like to know before joining college is placements. Vasavi always managed to bring reputed companies with decent packages.

B.Tech in computer sciences is a four year full time undergraduate level degree programme offered to students. The eligibility for the same is minimum 60 percent aggregate in class 12th with physics, chemistry and maths from a recognized board of education. Now, coming to your query, here is the brief summary of cse in all the colleges you asked about :

• Gokaraju Rangaraju: The fees for CSE at gokaraju Rangaraju institute of technology is around 4.13 lakhs INR. Regarding the placements, highest package offered was 41.6 lakhs per annum by Microsoft. The placement rate was quite good too. Capgemini, IBM, Amazon, Byju's were the companies that offered the star packages. Internships are also provided by the college, almost all students get internships. The faculty here is also quite good. They are keen to facilitate students with practical as well as theorotical learning. However, the management of the college has laid down rules and regulations that are quite strict.

• CVR college of engineering: The fee for B.Tech in CVR college is around 3.82 Lakhs INR.Amazon offered the highest package i.e 30.5 lakhs per annum, to 3 students. Many companies came for recruitment from various sectors. The packages ranged from 3-30.5 lakhs.So, placements are quite decent here. Internships are also provided by the college. The faculty members are also very helpful and keen. They ensure proper learning and knowledge is imparted to students. All of them at least have a masters degree or a phD.

• Mahatma Gandhi institute of technology: The total fees for B.Tech in CSE is around 4 lakhs. The highest package offered was around 12 lakhs per annum ,last year. The lowest package was 4 lakhs and median salary was 6 LPA. The rate of placements is around 85-90 percent. The faculty here is also good.
