I have obc certificate ossu on 3 march2020 but required 31st april Du admission. Due to lockdown all service shut down. 4th july 2020 is last date for admission pls tell me what i do

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 2nd Jul, 2020

Dilpreet, According to the FAQs available at the official website https://ug.du.ac.in/index.php/site/faq, it says that you must upload the  most recent ONC-NCL Certificate. As you belong to OBC-NCL, you should have a certificate issued after March 31st, 2020. But the country has been under lockdown since March last week and so it might not be possible to get the certificate by then. But again we doubt if uploading the Certificate issued on March 3rd  will be accepted.  So what we would suggest you is to reach out to the helpdesk because they might be in the right place to help you with this. Please reach out to them at the email id: [email protected] .

kindly I just need a suggestion about cracking jee advanced and about its preparation I just have hardly 6 months and I currently dont have the books because of lockdown and where could I get the books or resources for free please answer .

PARESH RATHOUR 20th May, 2020

***CASE 1: You are barely crossing the cutoff**

1. You should be well aware of the fact that these exam are subject to a lot of internal and external factors. It might be possible that you deserved much more, but simply couldn’t perform well on that day. This doesn’t mean your chance is over. You have potential, you just couldn’t prove it this time. Rather take it as a challenge to improve next time.

2. So step one is to get motivated again. Talk to your teachers and parents, they will help. Many people perform poorly in JEE(Main) and do well in JEE(Advanced). Not an issue.

3. Then analyze your paper of JEE(Main) 2018 and see why exactly did you lose marks? Were you not aware of the concepts? Did you commit too many silly mistakes? Did you get panicked? Was your speed too slow? Write it down somewhere and analyze each and every question. You will get to your mistakes.

4. Make a list of all your weak topics, strong topics and average topics. I recommend making the average ones strong, because JEE(Advanced) needs strong concepts. Start practicing questions from coaching sheets. **COMPLETE YOUR COACHING MATERIAL BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE**(assuming you are from a good coaching). Try to cover easy topics first because you want to get into IIT XYZ, your aim should not be IITB CSE or something for now. First ensure that you get an IIT and then go for improving your rank by practicing tough questions.

5. Give all the tests of your coaching, and solve all the assignments given. Clear your doubts then and there.

6. Improve examination temperament because that is the most important thing. Give a lot of tests and apply point 3 above on each test.

7. Try a lot of questions and see solutions after you do it/if you can’t solve after sufficient time. Make sure you know each and every question you do by heart.

8. Physics and Mathematics will need huge amount of problem solving. Do it. Learn all important reactions in chemistry. It will save you on the exam day.

9. Give maximum time to studies. **MAXIMUM.**

10. Your study material should be your coaching material and past papers only. Try covering as much as possible.

**CASE 2: Performed decently, but can do better**

All points in CASE 1, and cover each and every topic of your material. Make it fully strong. Leave no stone unturned. Don’t leave anything thinking that it won’t come. You can improve/diminish your rank by a factor of 10 or more, depending on what you do now and in the exam. Your study material should also be only coaching material, you can also join some test series.

**CASE 3: 300+ scorers/highly motivated to do well in JEE(Advanced)**

These people get into top 100 or so, provided they continue the hardwork(not that others can’t do it). Do everything in CASE 1 and CASE 2. But you can also go for books like Irodov, other coaching material, etc. I recommend doing some good coaching material for extra practice of mathematics.

I hope I have cleared some queries of many students.

All the best!!!

***CASE 0: You have scored very less and won’t make it to JEE(Advanced)**:

A few students have messaged me saying that they want to end their lives because of this. Life has a lot to offer, please don’t do anything like that. Your parents and family would prefer a non IITian son/daughter than a dead one. There are many people who do well in life without being IITians. And believe me, an IIT isn’t a dreamland. We have our own problems.

Just be happy with who you are : )

You should study for BITSAT and other state level exams than crying.

S. Saha Student Expert 19th May, 2020
JEE Main is one of the most important entrance exams for every engineering aspirants. And the competition level is very high. So to get into top engineering colleges of India you need to secure at least 99.5 percentile in Jee Main 2020. For this, you must have to score at least 200+ marks out of 300 in Jee Main 2020 if you are from general category.

lakshita shaan 18th May, 2020

Hey Prachi!

Yes you are right everything is getting delayed from its earlier time and admission to colleges shall start in aug and your supplementary examination are likely to be held in july ,so you have enough time to prepare for supplementary exams and for college entrance exam you wish to get admission in.

If you have cleared your supplementary examination by good marks then you would get admission easily by fulfilling the eligibility criteria

Good luck!

I have put the exam center for 3 year llb proggram as Pune. but seeing the condition of lockdown I might not be able to attend the exam there . How can I change the venue?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 18th May, 2020

Hello,

As of now there changing of examination centers are not allowed for MHT CET Law exam 2020.Now, that lockdown has been extended till May 31, 2020 there is no chance that entrance exams will be conducted during the lockdown. The exam will be conducted only after the situation turns normal and some safety measures will be taken later on when the entrance exams have to be conducted. In few parts of the country public transport services are resumed within the state. So you don't need to worry by the time new dates are announced public transport will be resume their services in all parts of our country.

I am not utilising the lockdown time period for neet preparation properly! Need some advice.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 17th May, 2020

Hi

If you want to utilise lockdown time for neet preparation in a good way , you need to make a timetable.

Follow the below tips to make the time table:-

  • Give at least eight hours for studies in your time table
  • Keep short breaks of 20 to 25 minutes after every 1.5 to 2 hours between your studies
  • Half of the time of your studies must be for practicing MCQs and numericals
  • PHYSICS is the most toughest as it has both numericals and concepts , so keep 3 hours each day for Physics, 2.5 hours to Chemistry and 2.5 hours for Biology.

Also, follow the below tips:-

Practice questions:- Practice at least 100 mcqs in each chapter so that you are able to master the concepts and numericals solving skills
Revise :- you should stress on revision as well as syllabus is very wide
Solve previous year question papers and mock test papers ;- You should solve these , it will give you idea of types of questions asked and their difficulty level and will help you a lot.
