i have pass 12 std with science stream.but for my career i needed BA with English ,so i want admission in best college and i get suggestion of your college.so can i get admission in jp shroff college? and after lockdown when are admission going to start ? please answer ..

pdwords Student Expert 25th May, 2020

Hello,

It's difficult to say when exactly admission process is going to start for undergraduate courses as some of the board exams too are pending, anyway you can definitely get admission in BA English(Hons) coming from science stream but that will depends largely on the cut-off marks, every college has different criteria and admission process, some take admission on the merit of the qualifying examination while others conduct entrance test.

Anyway, some of the best college in Gujarat for BA English(Hons) are St Xavier's College(Ahmedabad), Christ College(Rajkot), MSU(Vadodara), Sardar Patel University etc. You can visit the official website of the college where you want to take admission, the officials shall declare all detailed information there only.

how can I prepare for entrance exam for ballb course in Lucknow University during lockdown

Akram Khan 16th May, 2020

Hi,

Due to lock down it is difficult to join regular coaching classes. Similarly many are facing the problem of not finding he relevant books in market.

So in this situation you should prepare at home by doing self study. Here are some tips which you can use to prepare entrance exam at home -

  • Take a copy or download the syllabus and pattern of the entrance test. Examine it carefully.
  • Make a study plan according to the syllabus and paper.
  • Try to solve previous years question papers if they are available.
  • If you do not have enough study material you can download PDFs of the book or study material.
  • Practice the questions on the topics which you have studied.
  • If you do not understand something you can look for that topic in YouTube.

So these were useful tips. Keep yourself motivated. Keep studying.

All the best.

Will the lockdown effect the admission of students in government engineering colleges , will the cutoff for admission will go higher this year ?

Siddharth Raghav 14th May, 2020

Shalu, cut offs change every year depending on various factors like no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top score and difficulty of the exam. It also depends on the no.of seats available in a particular stream and the no.of Candidates competing for it. Now the admission to all Govt, Engineering colleges is through either JEE Mains or a State Level Entrance Examination. The cut offs decrease if the no.of seats available are higher and vice versa. So if you look at this, none of the factors include Lockdown or economical crisis. Everything will remain the same.
