Dear candidate , Since you completed both Class X and XII in Maharashtra, even without originally selecting " domicile " , you can claim Type A Maharashtra State candidature during MHT - CET CAP . This category applies when your qualifying exam was taken in Maharashtra, and you are domiciled in the state - meeting both criteria ( XII in Maharashtra and domicile certificate) . Even if you initially selected " open " , you can change your category to SEBC or corresponding state type at CAP registration , and thereafter , you will be eligible under the SEBC reservation in engineering admissions .
Hi, as you have completed your Maharashtra 12th board exam from the state, you will be eligible to apply for the Maharashtra state quota. If you are living in the Madhya Pradesh state without a domicile certificate, you are not eligible for the MP state quota. If you want to apply for the MP state quota, you need to have MP domicile.
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education ( MSBSHSE ) announces the SSC results in May or early June. The result date for the Maharashtra SSC Board exam varies each year, but is based on the main examination conducted in February/March. For example, the Maharashtra SSC 2025 results were declared on May 13, 2025, and the SSC 2024 results were announced on May 27, 2024.
If you have scored 78 percent in the Maharashtra State Board and want to calculate your eligibility or normalized marks for JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling, it’s important to note that JoSAA considers percentile scores from JEE Main and not board exam percentages directly. However, board exam marks are used to check eligibility criteria, especially for IIT admissions, where a student must be in the top 20 percentile of their board or must have scored at least 75 percent aggregate marks (or 65 percent for SC, ST, and PwD candidates).
Now, when students attempt to convert their board percentage (like 78%) to a score out of 500, it's often done unofficially to compare with CBSE or other boards. But JoSAA and NTA do not officially provide any such conversion. For JEE admissions:
Your JEE Main percentile and rank are the primary factors for admission.
Your board percentage is only used to verify your eligibility for admission (especially for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, where you must have passed the Class 12 exam).
If you believe there’s a mismatch or confusion in your score normalization, it’s best to contact the JoSAA helpdesk or your school examination board for clarification.
Hi, if you want to be eligible for NITs, you need to score at least 75% of marks or be in the top 20 percentile in the respective boards. The NITs have the minimum admission criteria, and students need to check the cutoff marks, which vary year-wise. If you got 74.83% in your Maharashtra 12th board exam , you might not be eligible for NITs, as it is less than 75%.
For the Maharashtra Board 8th Mathematics question paper PDF, you will need to contact your school teachers or seniors, as the official website does not provide previous year question papers PDF for Class 8. I'd suggest obtaining the question papers from teachers or seniors, if they can give them for your reference.
The admission process for Class 11 in Maharashtra, specifically for the science stream, typically begins in May 2025. The "Part I" of the application process, which includes initial registration, is usually opened soon after the SSC (High School Certificate) results are declared. This is followed by "Part II" where students can fill their college preferences. For this you can contact your school.
The official list of examination centres for Maharashtra Board SSC examination has not been released to the public as a consolidated list on the official website. Instead, the Maharashtra board operates through nine Divisional Boards (Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nashik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, and Konkan), and the detailed centre list is primarily an internal document for school administration.
Where You Will Find Your Exam Centre
For students, the specific exam centre is mentioned on their personal document:
Hall Ticket: The exact name and address of your allotted Class 10th exam centre will be printed on your official Maharashtra SSC Hall Ticket (Admit Card), which is issued by your school a few weeks before the exams begin.
School/Junior College: Your school is the main source of the Maharashtra Centre list . The headmaster/principal receives the official list from the Divisional Board and can confirm the exam centre for the entire school batch.
