Hello Aspirant,
Two basic criteria for GATE examinations are as follows:
Now, there are other criteria as well which you can check by by clicking here . But mostly you'll fulfil them. If you fulfil the above-mentioned criteria as well, you can very well appear for the GATE Exam. Passing your B.Tech from Techno Batanagar wouldn't affect you giving GATE.
Hope this was helpful.
Hello, Shuvradipta. Firstly, Congratulations for successfully clearing WBJEE and achieving such a wonderful result in the exam. Your GMR as well as TFW ranks are pretty good and you do not need to worry much thinking about whether you will get chance at any of the colleges that you desire to study. Considering the General Quota seats , there is a pretty good opportunity for you to get chance in getting admission at Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata; Heritage Institute of Technology as well as Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology.
However, it is less likely for you to be eligible for B.Tech in Information Technology at IEM and Heritage Institute of Technology. Although, you may get opportunity to study B.Tech in Information Technology in MAKAUT .
If you want to know more about your eligibility in various departments at various colleges then use the WBJEE 2021 College Predictor .
I hope this much information is enough to clear your doubts. All I can suggest is apply for Round-2 counselling as well as the successive rounds (if you do not get your desired college).
Thank you and all the best!

Hi Aspirant,
JU is an autonomous university and follows its own course syllabus. So in case you are leaving iem which is under makaut ,after a certain period of time your registrations gets automatically cancelled since you left the college and the college has stopped sending registration amount nedded at time of each semester. So in that case your applications get automatically cancelled. However if you join a college under makaut next year then you have to cancel registration from your college placement officer and inform him about the transfer and he may arrange a migration or transfer certificate officially from makaut. You have to reach out to the college administration and inform about the change to cancel registration.
Hope it helps!!
Hi aspirant,
You asked for the comparison among makaut, nshm & nsec for the non engineering courses.
Look, for placement for the non engineering courses, no one of these colleges are good. Still, if you ask, I will say the best option is NSEC. It is under techno india group. The main recruiter for nsec is tcs. Besides, cts, wipro, l n t infotech etc also visit the campus. Salary package for non engineering courses varies from 2 to 4 lpa.
All the best !!
