Prachi Kumari 22nd Dec, 2024

Hello,

Yes, students from other states can take admission in Punjab private medical colleges under management seats, subject to certain conditions:

  1. Eligibility : Students must meet the eligibility criteria set by the college and the Punjab government.
  2. NEET Qualification : Students must have qualified for the NEET UG exam.
  3. Management Seats : These seats are often reserved for students willing to pay a higher fee, over and above the regular government quota seats.
  4. State Domicile : Some colleges may prioritize Punjab domiciled candidates, but students from other states are eligible for management quota seats.
  5. Admission Process : The process is usually direct through the respective college, not through centralized counselling.

V Can a student from other state take admission in ASCOMS JAMMU under management seat for mbbs?

Deepti Singh 24th Dec, 2024

Hello,

Yes, a student from another state can take admission in Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS), Jammu , under a management seat for the MBBS program. Management seats are generally open to candidates from all over India, irrespective of their domicile state. Admission to these seats is purely based on the candidate's NEET score as qualification through NEET is a must for all MBBS admissions in India.

The application process for management quota seats is through eligibility criteria put in place by the college and counseling that takes place by the authorities themselves. Candidates should frequently look into the official website of ASCOMS or JKBOPEE for specific guidelines and updates. In addition, students may also be required to meet some documentation and fee requirements applicable for the management quota.

Direct Admissions in colleges through management quota or stuff?

Tanya Gupta 20th Dec, 2024

Hello,

Direct admissions through management quota allow students to secure seats in colleges without going through the standard entrance exam or merit-based admission process. This option is typically available in private colleges and universities for a limited percentage of seats, as per government regulations. Students or parents pay a higher fee, often called a donation or capitation fee, in addition to the regular tuition fees.

Management quota admissions are common in courses like engineering, medicine, pharmacy, and business. Eligibility criteria, like minimum qualifying marks, still apply, and the process is regulated to ensure transparency and compliance with educational standards.

Hello,

The National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, is a premier public engineering institution in India. Admissions to its undergraduate programs are primarily conducted through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, followed by centralized counseling via the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). NITK does not offer a management quota for admissions; all seats are allocated based on merit through national-level entrance examinations.

For the academic year 2024-2025, the fee structure for the B.Tech program at NITK is as follows:

  • Tuition Fee : Rs. 62,500 per semester.
  • One-Time Fees (at the time of admission): Rs. 5,800.
  • Caution Money (refundable): Rs. 5,790.
  • Other Fees (per semester): Rs. 2,320.
  • Annual Fees : Rs. 14,340.

This brings the total fee for the first semester to approximately Rs.90,750.

Hostel facilities are available for students, with the following fee structure:

  • One-Time Fees : Rs. 1,000.
  • Hostel Seat Rent (per semester): Rs. 6,950.
  • Other Fees (per semester): Rs. 11,100.
  • Mess Advance (per semester): Rs. 20,000.

The total hostel fee per semester amounts to approximately Rs. 39,050.

NITK offers fee waivers and concessions based on category and family income:

  • General and OBC Students :
    • Full remission of the tuition fee for those with a family income below Rs. 1 lakh per annum.

Hi I want to go for Welignker Institute of Management my 10 percentage is 77.40 and my 12 percentage is 81.92 in I graduated got a 56 in BA in Tourism Studies and have work experience 2 years with Taj Hotels giving Cmat this year in 2025 what guidance for cut off and pi round

Syed Ali 13th Dec, 2024

Welingkar Institute of Management (WeSchool) is a reputed institute, and admission for its programs via CMAT is competitive. Here are some guidelines:

1. CMAT Cutoff Guidance:

The cutoff for PGDM at Welingkar varies yearly. Typically, for CMAT, you should aim for a 90+ percentile to increase your chances, although candidates with strong profiles (work experience, academics, etc.) may get a call with a slightly lower percentile.

For the Mumbai campus, the cutoff is higher compared to the Bengaluru campus.

2. Profile Assessment:

Your work experience with Taj Hotels and consistent academic scores in 10th and 12th are strong points. However, your graduation score (56%) may be a weak link, so ensure you perform well in CMAT to strengthen your profile.

3. Preparation for the PI Round:

Focus on articulating your work experience and connecting it to your interest in management.

Be clear about why you chose Welingkar and how their program aligns with your career goals.

Practice answers for common questions like "Why MBA?" and "What are your short- and long-term career goals?"

4. Documents Required:

Keep ready all academic certificates, CMAT scorecard, and work experience letters for verification.

For more details, check Welingkar’s official admission portal.

After two years of passing my class 12 board exams how can I get admission in Banaras Hindu University for pursuing B.Com (Hons.) in Financial Markets Management?

Deepti Singh 10th Dec, 2024

Hello,

To pursue B.Com (Hons.) in Financial Markets Management at BHU after two years of passing Class 12, follow these steps:

  • Check Eligibility: Ensure you meet BHU's criteria—Class 12 with a minimum aggregate percentage (usually 50% or more). Subjects like Commerce, Mathematics, or Economics are preferred.
  • Register for CUET (UG): The BHU admits students in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Applying online on the CUET website is usually done between February to March. Select BHU and the course as your options.
  • Preparation for CUET: Study topics include Commerce, General Knowledge and Logical Reasoning as they are considered for admission, based on CUET merit.
  • Counselling in BHU: After receiving the CUET results, participate in the counselling in BHU, submit needed documents, and confirm a seat.

Plan ahead, as admission depends on merit and CUET performance. Let me know if you need help with preparation or updates!
