Ive got ECE at SRM KTR and EIE at MIT Manipal and Ive already started classes at SRM, should I still go for Manipal?

Abhishek Roy 12th Oct, 2020

I think MIT Manipal has an advantage when it comes to Placements, Academics or Employer Outlook. So if you get proper refunds, you might consider transferring to MIT Manipal EIE. Will be a wise decision and might repay benefits in forms of various opportunities in future. All the best.

Which engg course is better to pursue my career in the field of robotics. Recently I have been allotted ELECTRONICS AND INSTRUMENTATION seat in MIT,manipal campus. Can I join in this course to make my future in robotics? Please give me a best suggestion regarding this problem.

NITIN KUMAR CHHABRA 24th Sep, 2020

Dear Aspirant ,

This branch is also a good option for you , if you have interest in robotics . In making a single robot it does not mean that only a electronics engineer will make it . It involves many type of engineers liek ME , ECE etc to make a whole robot .

Also there will be some robotic clubs in your college also , so must join them. There you will learn about robotics from beginner to advance level . And the best thing is that , you have to consult your seniors , they will guide you in this matter . There are various scope for robotics in foreign .

Hope it helps .

Will there be branch changing in MIT,MANIPAL for the year 2020(For students who are joining for first year in 2020)? Can you please answer this question?

Hrisheekesh Singh 23rd Sep, 2020

Hi Bharath,

Yes, you can change your engineering branch in MIT, Manipal even if you are taking admission in the year 2020. But remember there will be very much competition for changing branch specially to CSE.

Branch changing depends on a lot of factors like :

  • Your CGPA
  • Students applying for the same branch, their CGPA
  • Seats in the desired branch

which among these universities is the most recommended for Btech? and are there better universities i must know besides IIT ,NIT or BITS? 1)SRM university 2)Manipal institute of technology 3)Sharda university 4)Chandigarh unversity 5)Velore institute of technology 6)Amity university noida

Aditya kumar singh 21st Sep, 2020
Hi,
Okay so there are many good private colleges but the ones you mentioned above are the more choosen ones.
Most important thing about these private colleges is that they have fees higher than iits and nits. But you will find an excellent learning atmosphere , laboratories , college grounds and all. So you can apply for any of the  universities mentioned above or there is one more good private college which is jaypee college in noida .
If i will compare between all those colleges then i would definately choose vit or srm as they provide excellent placements as well as their faculty is very good. Apart from that all colleges are good in their own aspect.

What is the scope of EIE at Manipal Institute of Technology and how is it different from ECE or EEE?

Maddula Varshini 17th Sep, 2020

Hello Dear,

EIE (Electronic and Instrumentation Engineering) deals with, that focuses on stidies of automation and control systems. This stream  was designed to shape the technical knowledge and skills of electrical and electronic engineers along the lines of instrumentation, a field that is gaining dominance in today's world.

Te syllabus has 70% match with that of EEE and quite different to ECE. Coming to placement opportunities  there are plenty of jobs provided by top companies like, Schneider, Cisco and ABB.

As this branch is upcoming recently, most people do not opt for his remarkably underrated course and as a result, placement statistics go off the charts for engineers in this line of work due to the almost non-existent competition.

Hope this helps you.

All the Best!!!

Hilag Shah 26th Sep, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

With a score of 66.26 percentile either options seem to be difficult as in MIT you would have to give the MET and as far as NITs are considered you can get admitted only above 95 percentile. But still you can aim for some other private colleges like LPU and Chandigarh University.Good Luck.Hope your query is resolved.
