Manipal Institute of Technology(MIT), is a private institute hence the scholarships are very limitted.
Telling for B.Tech students, the scholarships include, tuition fee waivers when you secure good rank in the entrace test. There are various slabs for that. Getting a rank in top 100, will fetch you 100% tuition fee waiver, similarly, top 500, 50% fee waiver. Although the amount keeps changing, but you need to be in top 500, in order to get a decent scholarship. Other than that, there is scholarship if you belong to poor class family. Like if your family income annualy is less than 3 Lakhs, then you get 100% scholarship on course fees. And then the slabs continue like (3-5)Lakh per anum-90% scholarship, and so on. Apart from this there is scholarship for Konkani speaking students. There are other scholarships such as AICTE, and SAGES, however these are for higher studies. There are scholarships for MBBS and other medical courses as well.

University grants admission on the basis of score in national level entrance exams, Manipal entrance test (MET), department test (DT), and directly.
Hope this helps.
First of all everything, use NCERT books for all the main subjects that is Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The questions asked in exams are a little bit easier than JEE so dont get confused while choosing the appropriate books. You can rely on NCERT for chemistry and for practice solve books like MTG CHAMPION, maybe HC VERMA for Physics or else Marvel will also do, and some practice problems for MATHS.
Best wishes. Thankyou.
Hey,
The CS branch of MIT Manipal , out of all the branches , has probably the best placement scenario. you can have a look at the placement statistics of the year 2014–15 on the official website of the college.
The average package for CS is around 5–5.5 l.p.a. The highest package can go upto 20 l.p.a. or even more.
While it is undoubtedly important to know about the placement scenario before choosing a branch , I suggest you should not make it a deciding factor and should also have a look at the course of the branch you want to choose and see if you are interested in it.
