Hi I got 62percentile in jee 2021 feb and 32 percentile in jee march and i got 96.6% in telangan boards(966/1000).Can i get any branch in SASTRA.Plz post your suggestions

Aman Mishra 21st Jul, 2021

Hello,

Sastra Deemed University is one of the best recognised private institutions in India and also it has remarkable records in terms of studies, infrastructure and many more. Now as you have attempted for JEE entrance exam and also you have scored a decent marks, so the first thing which you should do is that calculating your rank by using rank predictor and after you will be able to compare your rank with the cutoffs of different fields in this particular college. But sorry to say that getting any top branches like CSE or IT is not possible in this particular marks, ya but surely you can try for some medium fields like Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical and many more because for this fields you have a little positive chance of getting it.

Thank you..

sir mere jee 18th march second shift me 144 marks 54 percentile h sc catagory kya mujhe nit bhopal me ec ya ce mil sakti h

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 15th Aug, 2021

Hi

With 144 marks, it's not possible to get such low percentile, you must have calculated your marks wrong

Your profile suggests that your home state is MP

With 54 percentile

Your sc rank will be around 40k

With above  rank, you have very low chances in NIT bhopal even under home state in ECE or any branch even under home state

For example,

In 2020, in 6th round under home state, 3333 sc rank was closing rank for ECE in NIT Bhopal.

You have extremely low chance even in lower nits.

For example

Under other state quota closing rank for some of the lower NIT for SC category is provided below as 6th josaa counselling 2020 :-

  • NIT Mizoram :- civil engineering :- 8376 sc rank

  • Nit nagaland :- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering:- 8641  sc rank

  • National Institute of Technology Agartala, Production Engineering :- 9207 sc rank

You can verify the above at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Try to get at least sc rank of around 9000 i. e at least around 85 percentile to get into NITs

Above prediction of is on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc

Hi. I had took my EWS certificate on March 17th 2021. is it valid now or should is take new certificate? Im not getting it as financial year ends on March 31st and new year starts from April 1st . so my certificate is valid or not can anyone give clarity?

Bhavesh gupta 5th Jul, 2021

Hi Aspirant,

Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you no your E.W.S certificate is not valid as validity is of only one year and it expires after 31st march so you have to produce a new one. For new E.W.S certificate you have to produce the same documents as E.W.S document can not renewed as O.B.C and S.C, S.T certificate.

Hope you found this answer useful.Stay motivated stay positive.

All the best!

Hello sir i got 72 percentile in march attempt did i get a seat in nit Im from backward caste ST

Akash Singh 5th Jul, 2021

Hi Sanjay,

I hope you are fine and fit.

Now if we look at previous years trends and try to find your common rank on the percentile you have mentioned then it will be somewhere between 286440 - 322000

You can also check your expected rank by yourself using our rank predictor tool. Below I am attaching the link of it.

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

You should note that these ranks are calculated on the basis of past years Percentile vs Rank trends, so you should not be surprised by observing slight variation in the actual rank and the expected rank.

Now, we do some more analysis on past year Rank vs Percentile of your category which is ST, then we will find that you ST rank will be somewhere between 4500 to 7500.

Now with this rank unfortunately you will not get any NITs in Josaa counseling unless and until you are from northeast. In northeast NITs, a homestate student can get their state NIT on this rank.

But I will recommend you to participate in CSAB counseling as unexpected things happen there and you might get a seat in any NIT.

If you want to know which colleges you can get in your rank range then you can use our college predictor tool to see it. Below I am pasting the link of it.

In case you are trying for another attempts of JEE Main then, i will suggest you to go through our supplement designed by our experts to boost your preparation. Below is the link of it.

I hope this answer helps you.

i belong to ews i got 75 percentile in jee mains march 2021 i am qualified or not in jee mains 2021

ayanmukherjee045 3rd Jul, 2021

Dear aspirant,

As you have mentioned that you belong to EWS category and taking into consideration that you have got 75 percentile in your jee mains attempt so let me tell you that even if you qualify jee mains this score is of no use.

In this score it won't help you fetch any good college through jee mains. And if you are thinking of advance ,you first need to strengthen your base for jee mains and then think of advance.

Still there are two attempts left and there is time so buckle up and start your preparation seriously and work smartly.

my ews certificate is issued on 21-01_2021.is it valid for jee mains counselling 2021? because some are saying it is only valid till march 31 2021.please let me know which is correct

ayanmukherjee045 3rd Jul, 2021

Hello pragya,

As you have mentioned that you have issued your EWS certificate on 21-01-2021.  So let me tell you that the validity of EWS certificate stays upto 1 year so it is valid absolutely for the current year for jee mains counselling.

It was the previous rule that it has to be issued on or after 1st April but now it has been changed as now you have to upload your certificate in the application process.

So yes it is valid.

i got 64 percentile in JEE MAINS march attempt i am a girl with general category which government colleges i can get in MP and near by states for CS BRANCH??

Sowmya Konkala 2nd Jul, 2021

hello,

64 percentile would fetch a rank between 368280-414000. as of now its tough to say about fetching seat in college because the analysis and also cutoffs change every year .  considering you from gen category, with your percentile ,you have tough chances to fetch seat for fetching in nits, iiits.you need better percentile of 98+  to fetch seat in top nits,iiits..you can try in private engineering colleges using your jee percentile. workhard for the upcoming jeemain sessions..you can get closing rank for josaa official website: https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx  ..for top private engineering colleges you can try  for the below colleges through jeemains:

thapar university

BIT mesra

sastra university

srm university

amritha vishwa vidyapeetham
