Marks
Hey, for the general class it is for 50% in undergraduate required while for SC/ST candidates require 45%. Cutoffs are different based on different colleges but generally as per my sources is 80% which is enough to get a tier one college.
IGNOU Entrance - ≥80/100
Maharashtra B.Ed CET - Average 50+; Good 70–87
Odisha Entrance - OBC: 48–53% range
Bihar CET - Gen: ≥35%, Reserved: ≥30%
UP B.Ed JEE - Gen: 341–351/500
Admission basically prefers the interface of entrance exams which can also be stimulated on the stances that for the merit list basically it gives you for the class 10+2 results. But it can also be Campaigned by several other entrance exam. Likewise for Engineering there is JEE , for doctorate there is NEET etc.
Hello,
Being an OBC candidate and receiving 222 marks on the NEET 2025 with an AIR of almost 7 lakh places you at the bottom of the list of Neet qualified applicants. However, DY Patil Medical Colleges which are deemed universities and offer MBBS seats under management/NRI quota, may still accept students with lower NEET scores, but an extremely exorbitant costs.
So, Apply for MCC Deemed University Counseling and keep eye on mop - up or stray vacancy rounds.
Dear Candidate , If you are aiming for a government MBBS seat in the general category , you will likely need 500 + marks , with 550+ being safer , especially in open / student state quotas . For reserved categories ( SC/ST/OBC) , the required marks drop-around 420-500 , depending on your region and round .
A BDS seat at a Government Medical College is extremely unlikely to be obtained with a NEET 2025 score of 248. Generally speaking, government BDS seats demand much higher marks, depending on the state and category. It's not a certainty, but there maybe few opportunities at some private universities, particularly those with the greater tuition or in less competitive areas.
Students must score a minimum of 35 percent overall , with at least 30 percent in each subject, to pass the SSLC examination in Karnataka.
For Kannada medium, subject wise passing marks are as follows:
Theory exams
First language (Kannada): 70 out of 125
Other subjects (Kannada II, Mathematics, Science, Social Science): 28–30 out of 80 to100
Practical or internal assessments (where applicable): a minimum of 7 to 10 marks
Overall, you must secure 35 percent aggregate and 30 percent in each theory and practical .
A NEET 2025 score of 333 marks, an All India Rank (AIR) near 3,56,000, and belonging to the SC category from Andhra Pradesh suggest a fair possibility of obtaining an MBBS seat within the state quota, especially in private medical colleges under Category A (government quota seats in private institutions).
In Andhra Pradesh, SC category cut-offs for Category A seats in private institutions generally vary from 320 to 370, influenced by the college and the counselling round. Government medical colleges tend to be more competitive, with the SC cut-off for MBBS frequently rising, often exceeding 400 marks.
Although obtaining a government MBBS seat is improbable, you stand a feasible opportunity in private medical colleges within A category (which offer lower tuition than B and C categories). In Round 2 or the Mop-Up round, you can anticipate improved opportunities, since cut-offs generally decrease when other students move to superior colleges or vacate seats.
Colleges such as NRI Medical College (Guntur), Katuri Medical College (Guntur), Great Eastern Medical School (Srikakulam), Alluri Sitarama Raju Academy of Medical Sciences (Eluru), and Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences (Kadapa) are among those where seats could become available for SC students in subsequent rounds under Category A.
Hope this helps. All the best!
HELLO,
To determine the marks required for SC/BC open students at as specific college for a particular course , you will need to specify the college or for a particular course you have to specify the college and course .
General guidelines suggest that for open category students need a minimum of 80% for Delhi University off Campus BA programs while honors courses could require upwards of 90%
Hope that Helps!
