My jee mains physics score is 67 ,chemistry score is 76 and math score is 19 so why my percentile is 63?

shivamtrivedi0005 25th Jul, 2022

Hello Aspirant

You got 63 percentile, not percentage. The percentile is completely different from the percentage and raw scores obtained by a candidate. Percentile is calculated as:

Percentile Score = 100 x (The number of students who secured a score equal to or less than the student) / (The total number of students who appeared in that session of a particular examination) . The number of students scoring lesser marks than others.

sir i have 6 subject in class 12 cbse i was fail in 2 subject math and chemistry but in math my additional subject is added so i want to ask that can i have to give both subject compartment or only chemistry

Neamah Fathima M R 25th Jul, 2022

According to CBSE rules, if a students fails in more than one subject then he will be declared failed. But you can only right compartment exam for one subject. You have a chance to improve the exam you failed through improvement exam. candidate failing in two of the five subjects of external examination shall be placed in compartment in those subjects provided he/she qualifies in all the subjects of internal assessment. Within a month of result declaration CBSE gives you a chance for applying retest. Usually if you failed in more than one subjects you are considered as failed.. but if you perform good and got fas mark in the improvement exam you will be considered as passed

All the best.
