Is CRL rank in JEE Mains considered for admission in DTU ..? if yes then what should be the percentile required for OBC-NCL Delhi category student for mathematics and computing engineering???

Nimisha Sharma 9th Sep, 2021
Yes, CRL rank of Jee Mains is considered for admission in DTU. Generally the closing rank for Mathematics and Computing engineering is in the range 97,000-99,000 for Delhi region candidates. That means you should aim for a percentile score above 90 to ensure you that rank.
This cutoff varies every year so try to give your best and hopefully score 95+ percentile, then you will be eligible for top NITs or IIITs as an obc candidate.

Good Luck !

By scoring how much marks I can confirm my seat in DTU Mathematics and computing engineering........? category- OBC NCL. HOME STATE DELHI

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 23rd Jul, 2021

Hi

It is very difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains to get a seat in DTU as cut off  keeps changing every year due upon several factors like

  • number of students that appeared in the jee main exam,

  • kind of marks obtained by them ,

  • toughness level of the jee main examination ,

  • number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

When we go through previous year trend then ,

In round 9 of jac counselling 2020, for obc category  to get Mathematics and Computing, 99556 crl rank was closing   rank for delhi region student in DTU.

You can check the same at

https://cache.careers360.mobi/media/uploads/froala_editor/files/1608643929phpfepjgf.pdf

So, to be on the safer side you should try to get  around 90,000  rank which is roughly around 92 percentile i. e around at least 95 marks as per our rank predictor at

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

Also,

To be eligible for DTU one must pass his or her class 12th board examination with physics chemistry mathematics and English and must have got at least 60% in aggregate of physics chemistry and mathematics .

Seats are offered through JAC Delhi counselling conducted on the basis of jee main.

  • In which 85% seats are reserved for Delhi region  students.

  • While the rest  15% seats are available for outside Delhi students

How do I become an investment banker after a B.Tech in mathematics and computing?

darshita 17th Feb, 2021

Hello,

Essentially, investment bankers are financial advisors to corporations and, in some cases, to governments. They help their clients raise money. That may mean issuing stock, floating a bond, negotiating the acquisition of a rival company, or arranging the sale of the company itself.

  • There is no specific degree to become an investment banker, with investment banks hiring graduates from most subject areas. However, transferable skills from degrees like economics, business, mathematics and finance can give you an advantage.
  • Financial literacy and confidence with numbers is a prerequisite to be successful in this career
  • A person taking up a career in this field should have high resilience and the ability to face the consequences when things get tough
  • Combination of spreadsheet, accounting and legal skills.
  • Strong, professional communication ability is an important characteristic of an investment banker
  • Good numerical skills
  • Excellent team leadership and teamwork skills are required for a successful investment banker.

Hope this helps!!!

what are the prospects for mathematics and computing engineering , its study and placements after completion

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 19th Oct, 2020

hi,

see applied mathematics is the main subject to learn about the modern computing Technics, data science, statistical modelling and artificial intelligence and machine learning. it is predicted by most of the tech giants companies like infosys, IBM , microsoft, tcs that in next six years the AI AND data science related field have wide demand. so There is decent scope to study mathematics and computing engineering. however engineering is a subject where you learn many things out of the syllabus of any university level exam. cause in class room you may be taught about the theoretical part, but you have to make your self established to crack and excel the technical knowledge. so besides the university syllabus many of the extra programming, curricular activities need to complete.

hope you may understand.
