With a rank of 2,273 in MSc Mathematics for SC category candidates, you have a good chance of getting a seat at Osmania University (OU). The cutoff ranks for SC candidates are generally more lenient compared to the general category, which increases your chances.

To confirm, check the specific cutoff details for MSc Mathematics at OU for the current year. You can also contact the admissions office of Osmania University for the most accurate and updated information regarding seat availability and cutoff ranks.

sir, i got 2273 in msc mathematics.sc candidate .Can i get seat in ou university?

monag2673 12th Aug, 2024

Predicting your chances of securing a seat in OU University for MSc Mathematics with a rank of 2273 as an SC candidate is difficult without complete information. However, I can provide some insights:

Factors Affecting Admission:

  • Previous Year Cut-Offs: The cut-off ranks for SC category in MSc Mathematics at OU University can vary depending on the number of applicants, seat availability, and difficulty level of the entrance exam (if applicable). Analyzing previous year's cut-offs can provide a rough estimate.
  • Entrance Exam: Check if OU University conducts an entrance exam for MSc Mathematics admissions. If so, your score might be considered along with your rank.

Here's what you can do:

  1. Check Previous Year Cut-Offs: Search for OU University's previous year's cut-off ranks for MSc Mathematics, specifically for the SC category.
  2. University Website: Visit the OU University website or contact the admissions office for the most updated information on the admission process, including entrance exams (if applicable) and the latest cut-offs.
  3. Counseling Process: Regardless of your predicted chances, participate in the counseling process for OU University. You might get lucky and secure a seat if there are any last-minute cancellations or adjustments.

Additional Options:

  • Other Universities: Explore other universities offering MSc Mathematics, especially those with higher intake for SC candidates.

Remember, this is just an estimate based on limited information.  Stay updated with the official admission process and participate in the counseling to maximize your chances.

hope this helps you!!

which part of cengage Mathematics should i buy? As i dont want to buy all the 5 parts due to some reason which part is very important)

monag2673 12th Aug, 2024

Selecting the most crucial part of Cengage Mathematics depends on your specific strengths and weaknesses in the subject. However, considering the general importance of different topics for JEE preparation, here's a breakdown:

  • Algebra: This part is foundational and covers a wide range of topics essential for problem-solving. It's generally considered a must-have.
  • Calculus: Another core area, calculus is vital for both JEE Main and Advanced. It's highly recommended to have this part.
  • Coordinate Geometry: This part is crucial for understanding geometric interpretations of algebraic equations and is essential for problem-solving.
  • Trigonometry: While important, trigonometry might be covered to a certain extent in other parts. Assess your proficiency in this area before deciding.
  • Vector and 3D Geometry: This part is crucial for physics as well as mathematics. It's generally recommended.

If you have to choose only one or two parts, prioritize Algebra and Calculus. However, if you feel confident in these areas, consider adding Coordinate Geometry or Vector and 3D Geometry based on your needs.

Remember, the best approach is to analyze your strengths and weaknesses and choose the part(s) that address your specific requirements.

hope this helps you!!

I have done Degree in Mathematical Science.. not in Mathematics.. So, can i go for B. Ed in Maths??

Ishita 4th Aug, 2024

Hello Aspirant

A degree in Mathematical Science is known for combining classical Mathematical approaches and newer, modern approaches. The syllabus, if I'm not wrong, comprises of statistics, calculus, analysis, numerical methods, differential equations, algebra, geometry, probability, and statistics. All of these align with, if somewhat, with a basic BSc Math Hons syllabus.

The eligibility for enrolling in a BEd course for Math is you should have a degree in BSc Math, statistics, data science, engineering, or computer science from a UGC-recognised college with 60% above aggregate. If you fulfill the percentage criteria, then yes, you are eligible to do BEd in Math.

Your course actually seems more relevant for BEd Math because, through Mathematical Science, you get to know what actually goes on when studying math and how classical and modern approaches can come together.

Hope this helps

Hello student

I'm sorry, but I couldn't find information on the minimum rank required for admission to the BSc Mathematics program at Presidency University. However, here are some details about the admission process :

- *Eligibility Criteria*: Candidates should have cleared higher secondary examination (Class 12) that is conducted by CBSE, West Bengal or equivalent exam, not before 2020. The candidate must pass Class 12 with at least five recognized subjects, including English language and excluding Environmental Science.

- *Accepting Exams*: PUBDET

- *Application Process*: The application form for all the mentioned courses offered by the university can be filled out online at the official website of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board portal.

- *Selection Criteria*: The candidate needs to apply for the entrance exams as per their course preferences. Students are required to go through the national-level entrances and then appear for counseling for final admission.

This year I scored 58 out of 100 in mathematics, I thought that appearing for improvement exam might increase my marks but it didnt and i got 51 out of 100 in the improvement exam. Now my question is that which marks of mine will be considered while college admission my previous or new marks?

sai raja 3rd Aug, 2024

The marks obtained in the improvement exam will be considered for college admissions, as the new score reflects your latest performance. However, it is important to note that:

1. The improvement exam score of 51/100 in mathematics is lower than your previous score of 58/100.

2. Colleges generally consider the best scores from multiple attempts of the same exam for admissions purposes. But in your case, the improvement exam score is lower.

3. If the exam allows only one attempt, which is the case for many state-level entrance tests, the single score obtained will be used for admissions.

4. Some colleges may consider both the original and improvement exam scores and take the higher of the two for admission purposes. But this practice is not universal.

It is advisable to check the specific policies of the colleges you are applying to regarding the consideration of improvement exam scores. In general, the lower score of 51/100 in the improvement exam will likely be used for your college applications, unless the college has a policy of considering the higher of the two scores.

Mai Abhi BA 5th semester Mai pad rha hu Maine 12th pehle arts side se ki thi aur uske bad Maine 12th additional subject mai physics chemistry mathematics Mai 12th ke exam diye next year Lakin unfortunately MATH Mai fail ho gya to kya mam / sir jab graduate level ki job Mai dono result 12 th ke dkh

Ishita 4th Aug, 2024

Hello Aspirant

Seeing as you took 6-7 subjects in your 12th grade, I'm pretty sure that not all of them are mentioned in your 12th mark sheet. And because they were not mentioned in the mark sheet, that is why you were able to take admission to a BA program. It is totally okay if you failed your math exam as it has nothing to do with your current field of study, i.e. Arts/Humanities. If you were doing a Bachelor's from a science background, this might have posed a problem, but not for you.

Some companies, IT firms may ask you questions about it, and be a bit skeptical, but you can answer them honestly. But don't stress about it.
