Hi,
I hope you are doing well.
You can do almost any job that a Computer Science grad can do with your M&C degree. Additionally, M&C graduates are preferred for Data Science, Machine Learning, Business Intelligence and more Statistics related jobs.
Also, since you get a masters degree in M&C, you can directly get a Ph.D in Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, etc.
The first thing is what you learn in Mathematics and Computing degree. Is it equivalent to CS & IT or it is not? That is the most important part.
An IT guy knows C, C++, Python, etc. languages and has good depth on Data structures and algorithms. This is a basic thing they know. If you study these things in your Mathematics and Computing degree then it is okay. If you don’t then you have to learn it. You can learn from Virtual classrooms and online courses or free tutorials videos.
There are lots of sites where you can compete with others and get a job like Hackerearth, Hackerrank, Interviewbit, techgig, Linkedln, etc.
So just keep focusing on your goal and work hard.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
