how to perfect our subjects I am weak in science and maths so please guide me how to do perfect study of maths and science which notes or pdf or question papers should we refer. To crack NRA examination

Mayank Chowdhary 7th Jun, 2020

First of all, see the syllabus very carefully, check every chapter properly. And then make a study timetable. And it should not be made for just making purpose ofcourse you've to follow it strictly and honestly goes without saying. Stay truthful to yourself and to your plan schedule. Don't plan a long schedule as then if has backlogs the pressure starts building up in your mind. Just when you wake up in the morning, set the target for the day and just finish those. Keep fighting each and every single day and keep going nearer to your goal step by step. In the beginning, if you face struggle solving maths problem, refer to the solutions that's ok.. Try to know the concept or the method used to solve the sums, practice the same once or twice and then go on solving the same.. And once you develop confidence go on for solving the sample papers as they help to judge yourself in a very better way as in where you stand.. For science, you need to learn and read more and more. You don't have to byheart remember my words.. Just try to clear the concepts.. And keep reading more and more..

i have geography subject in class 12 and i scored well in that subject but maths and science was not my subject in class 12 . so can i get admission in jadavapur university for bsc in geography?

Mibin Mathew Mammen 19th May, 2020

Dear Aarzoo,

Thank you for your query. I am sorry to tell you but according to the admission website of the Jadavpur University you need to have 70% in a Science component including Geography to get admission for Jadavpur University. I think you can try for admission to Madras Christian College as it does not require you to have a science component to get eligible.

All the Best

Hello,

After your completion of 12th in arts you can do courses like BA,BBA,BMS,BFA,BHM,BCA etc.
But there are some colleges that does offer admission to NIOS candidates so you will have to check the eligibility criteria if those colleges first before applying.

I hope this helps.

I have interest in both maths and science. Marks are also high in both subjects. I cant decide which to choose. What should I do?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 24th Oct, 2019
Hello there!
Greetings!
I think you are in class 10th and you are worried about which stream you should go for in intermediate, if you enjoy reading both maths and Science then you can go for science stream with PCM i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in your intermediate and later you can do graduation in any subject of your choice depending upon your future interest in the subject, you can go for engineering as well , as engineering is simply the application of science and math to solve problems.
thankyou

The time of reverberation of an empty hall is 1.5sec with 500 audience present in the hall,the time of reverberation falls to 1.4sec.Find the number of persons in the hall if the reverberations time falls to 1.312sec....Plsss answer this question...

vishal sharma 30th Oct, 2020

Hello Adithya

According to Sabine formula, time of reverberation t = (0.16*V)/(A*α)

Thus, For an empty room, 1.5 = (0.16*V)/(S*α)………………..[1]

Lets assume the volume of 1 person to be 1m 3

With 500 persons, 1.4 = 0.16(V – 500)/S α…………….[2]

From eq[1], S* α = 0.16V/ 1.5

Thus, on solving eq[2] , we get 1.4 = 1.5 – (500* 0.16/S α)

  • 1.5 -1.4 = 500* 1.5 / V
  • 0.1 = 750/V
  • V = 7500

For t = 1.312, let the number of people be n

=> 1.312 = 0.16(V – n)/S α

=> 1.312 = 1.5 – (n* 1.5/7500)

=>  n/5000 = 1.5- 1.312

=> n = 5000 * 0.188

=>  n = 940

Hence, there are 940 persons.

My exams are 1 week away. How can I prepare for it. Im in 11th Class PCM.

Nithesh 1st Oct, 2019
Haii shreyas!!! I'll tell you some tips for for 11th PCM follow If you like. Chemistry: This subject requires more concentration so keep practising everything and remember bit to bit. NCERT is enough iff you write and remember line to line. Physics : some of the main topics to cover is like thermodynamics, law of motion,gravitation,oscillations and waves.firstly do practice the important derivations. Remember the formulas to solve the problems.Better to write formulas in a notes to keep remember and for revision. Read conceptual questions by understanding the theory in it don't by heart it and then remember the main points in that question. While coming to maths:some the topics to cover is trignometry and yahh...R.D sharma is prescribed and ease to prepare in this Bionomical and Conic sections,p&c,trignometry(8,9,10,11of RD. Sharma) .Do practice the problems clearly in an order because the questions will be given in the advanced level. Do practice well for the exam.All the best Shreyas!! Give your best in your examinations. And in practicals also. Good luck!
