MBBS admission
No, not all students are required to reside in a hostel after securing a seat in the first round of counseling for medical or other courses. The requirement to stay in a hostel depends on the specific policies of the college or university you are admitted to.
Some institutions, particularly those in more rural or remote areas, may require students to stay in hostels to ensure their safety, convenience, and to foster a focused academic environment. In such cases, hostel accommodation might be mandatory, especially in the first year.
However, many colleges, especially those in urban areas or with a larger student body, offer students the choice of either staying in the hostel or making their own accommodation arrangements off-campus. If you prefer to live off-campus, it's important to confirm with the institution whether they allow it and if there are any specific procedures or permissions required.
If staying in a hostel is mandatory, the college typically informs students during the admission process or in the joining instructions. Always check with your college's administration for the exact details related to hostel residency requirements.

Hello aspirant
It seems difficult to predict college for getting mbbs seat (though being sc category candidate 359 is a good score )as it depends upon neet cut off 2024 .
Cut off keeps changing every year and depends upon certain factors such as number of candidates who appeared in Neet exam, difficulty level of exam, student's performance, availability of seat and previous year's cut off etc.
This year cut off is very high .
Cut off neet for 2024 , general category candidate is 50th percentile ie score between 720-164.
For SC/ST/OBC it is 40th percentile ie score between 163 -129

While it's difficult to predict with absolute certainty, securing a government MBBS/BAMS seat in Karnataka with a NEET score of 368 and SC category seems unlikely. Typically, the cut-off scores for government MBBS seats in Karnataka, even for SC candidates, are significantly higher than 368. The competition for government medical seats is fierce, and even with reservations, the minimum marks required can be quite high. The cut-offs for BAMS seats are generally lower than MBBS. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the all-India cut-off percentile for BAMS can be around 40th percentile, which translates to a score ranging from 129-163 https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/mbbs-colleges-in-bangalore-without-entrance-exam-fee-structure-fsa I hope it helps!
It's difficult to predict with absolute certainty whether you can secure a medical seat with a score of 377 in NEET UG and belonging to the SC category in Telangana. Typically, cut-off scores for government MBBS/BDS seats in Telangana, even for SC candidates, are significantly higher than 377. The exact cut-off depends on various factors like the difficulty level of the exam, the number of test-takers, and the number of available seats. Medical seats, especially in government colleges, are highly sought-after, and competition can be fierce even with reservations. While securing a government seat might be challenging, you could consider private medical colleges in Telangana that accept NEET UG scores for admissions. These colleges might have their own cut-offs, which could be lower than those of government colleges. The cut-offs for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programs are generally lower compared to MBBS. You might have a better chance of securing a seat in a BDS college with your score. Explore deemed universities in Telangana or other states that offer medical programs and accept NEET UG scores. https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=neet_cp I hope it helps!
