Hello,
If your father is an ex-Army personnel and got disabled on duty (6th category disability), then yes, you can get benefit under Army quota for MBBS admission . You may also get support from the Sainik Kalyan Board , depending on the state rules.
Your NEET rank will be considered under Army quota seats in colleges like Army College of Medical Sciences (ACMS) and other colleges that have Defence quota . But you must have the required documents like:
Discharge book of your father
Disability certificate
Dependent certificate
Certificate from Rajya/Zila Sainik Board
Please also check the specific college’s eligibility rules. Army quota is mainly for wards of Army personnel, so you are likely eligible.
Make sure to register under the correct quota while applying in counselling.
Hope it helps !
You could qualify for MBBS admission under the army, ECHS, or Sainik Kalyan board quotas in particular medical institutions if your father was an ex army member who had a category 6 sustained while serving.
What You should do?
If you got 235 marks in NEET, getting a seat in a government medical college is really, really hard. The marks are a bit low for MBBS in government colleges. But don’t feel sad, you can try for private colleges or look for other good medical courses too. Keep trying, you can do great next time also!
Since government college seats are usually given to applicants with far higher scores and lower rankings, finding and inexpensive medical institution for MBBS students with a score of 419 and a rank of 175526 in the 2025 counselling session is a major challenge. The majority of your options will be at deemed universities and private medical colleges, were tuition is significantly more.
Candidates with your rank may be admitted to a number of private medical colleges, especially in states like Telangana, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh, with tuition costs that are on the lower end of the private college spectrum.
With a NEET score of 220, securing an MBBS seat at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Jaipur through the management quota is highly unlikely. While some private medical colleges do offer seats through management quotas, a score of 220 is generally considered low, and competition for these seats is intense. The procedure generally involves registering for the counseling process, filling out the college application form, and participating in choice filling for private colleges.
With a NEET score of 322 and a rank around 3.8 lakh, you may still have chances to get a seat in some good private or deemed medical colleges under the NRI quota. Colleges like Kasturba Medical College Mangalore, SRM Medical College Chennai, Sri Ramachandra Institute Chennai, and Amrita School of Medicine Kochi often have NRI seats available. Other options include JSS Medical College Mysuru, Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune, Kalinga Institute Bhubaneswar, Saveetha Medical College Chennai, MGM Medical College Navi Mumbai, and Datta Meghe Institute Wardha. The availability of seats can vary each year, so it’s a good idea to keep an eye on counselling rounds and stay updated with the latest cutoff trends.
With a NEET score of 220, it's unlikely you'll get MBBS admission at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Jaipur through the management quota, especially for the OBC category. While some private medical colleges in Rajasthan, including Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Jaipur, offer seats through the management quota, your score is below the likely cutoff for even that route.
