I scored 404 marks, st category.. All india rank 2 lac and category rank 3068 .. Can I get mbbs gov college

OISHEE BANERJEE 14th Jun, 2025

Hello aspirant!

With 404 marks in NEET 2025 and belonging to the ST category, your chances of getting an MBBS seat in a government medical college are quite decent, especially through the State Quota.

Under the All India Quota (AIQ), ST candidates generally secure government MBBS seats with scores ranging from 400 to 470, depending on the state and the college. Since your score is right at the lower edge of this range, it might be a bit difficult through AIQ, but not impossible—especially if you're open to colleges in northeastern or less competitive states.

Your category rank of 3068 also gives you a chance in State Quota seats, which usually have lower cutoffs than AIQ. Some states accept even 380–400 marks for ST candidates in the later rounds of counselling.

All the best!

myself sc catogory student all india ranking 623181 sc quota ranking 69831 can i get mbbs or bds government seat

Ayush Madanpotra 31st Jul, 2025

You are from the SC category. Your NEET All India Rank is 623181 and your SC category rank is 69831.

With this rank, it is very difficult to get a government MBBS seat. Most SC students who get MBBS seats in government colleges usually have better ranks, generally below 40000. So the chance of MBBS admission in a government college is very low for your rank.

However, for BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), there may be some chances. The cut-off for BDS is lower than MBBS. In some states, students with SC category ranks like yours have got government BDS seats in the last round of counselling. So you should try in your state quota and also through All India Quota.

You should take part in both All India and state counselling and fill all possible options to increase your chances.

Sir, I have scored 430 Marks in NEET 2025, AIR - 155237 (GENERAL CATEGORY) , Also Im a defence Ward , My father is in the army and I am Priority 8 according to the Defence quota , Ive completed my 12th From Delhi , so do i have the domicile of Delhi ?? Also my Permanent residence is in Uttar Pradesh. So can I get any government/semi private college for MBBS and which state should i put as My domicile. And lastly What should I do as these marks may not be enough for mbbs seat.

Swati 25th Jun, 2025

Dear Aspirant

In medical admissions across India state quota plays a very significant role Each state has its own set of rules and criteria to define domicile status In general for Delhi state quota candidates the state authorities consider the place where you have passed your twelfth standard examination as an important factor Since you have completed your twelfth standard from Delhi you can be eligible for Delhi state quota counselling if you have the relevant documents such as the mark sheet of the twelfth examination conducted by a Delhi school or a Delhi residential proof for that period

Although your permanent residence is in Uttar Pradesh you can claim the state quota benefits for Delhi if you have valid proof of your twelfth standard education from a recognized school located in Delhi In this case you can participate in the Delhi state counselling process under the state quota Meanwhile for Uttar Pradesh you would only be able to claim the state quota if you have a valid domicile certificate issued by the authorities in Uttar Pradesh which generally requires long term residence in that state

With a NEET score of four hundred and thirty and an All India Rank of approximately one hundred fifty five thousand it might be challenging to secure an MBBS seat in a government medical college or semi private medical college in either Delhi or Uttar Pradesh as the cutoffs for the General category tend to be higher However you can still consider alternatives such as private medical colleges in these states where the required NEET scores are relatively lower compared to government institutions The fees are higher for these institutions but it can be an option if you are keen on pursuing an MBBS degree

Your status as a Defence ward under Priority Eight can help in gaining access to certain reserved seats for Defence category candidates across institutions that recognize this quota You should apply for counselling under this category in whichever state it is applicable and closely track official notifications related to seat allocation for Defence wards

If your marks are not enough for a direct MBBS admission in a government or semi private medical college consider applying for courses like BDS BAMS BHMS or other allied health courses which have lower cutoff marks You can also consider appearing for NEET again next year if MBBS in a government college is your priority and utilize this year to strengthen your preparation
You can claim the state quota benefits for Delhi if you have passed your twelfth standard examination from Delhi Your permanent residence in Uttar Pradesh allows you to claim domicile benefits for that state only if you have a valid domicile certificate The marks and All India Rank you have might make getting an MBBS seat in a government or semi private college challenging However you can explore private medical colleges or consider applying under the Defence category quota You can also consider alternatives like BDS BAMS or BHMS or retake the NEET exam next year to improve your score and increase your chance of gaining admission to an MBBS programme in a government college

at 442 marks with mbc category in raj cn i get semi govt mbbs clg in raj

Ayush Madanpotra 30th Jul, 2025

In Rajasthan, there are two types of seats for MBBS:

state quota (85 percent seats for students of Rajasthan)
management or paid seats (sometimes called semi-government)

For MBC category students, in 2024, the last seat in a government college was given to students with more than 650 marks. Even for semi-government or management quota seats, students needed at least around 590 to 600 marks.

Your score is 442, which is much lower than these cutoffs. So with this score, there is no chance to get a seat in a government or semi-government medical college in Rajasthan through the state quota.

But don’t lose hope. You can still try for private medical colleges in Rajasthan or other states where the cutoff is low. You can also explore BDS (Dental), BAMS (Ayurveda), BHMS (Homeopathy), or BPT (Physiotherapy) courses.

neet 2025 Marks 178 and rank 904382 any chance getting mbbs admission in india

Mansi Satwani 14th Jun, 2025

Hello aspirant,

The rank of 904382 is very much lower than that required for government and private medical and dental colleges. You should try for AYUSH programs like ayurvedic, homeopathic or unani medical colleges.

Best of luck for your college hunting.

I am obc ncl girl and scored 143 marks in neet . Can I get mbbs college ?? If not then suggest the college list BAMS like that

Aryan 29th Jul, 2025

Hi dear candidate,

The score of 143 in highly competitive exam like NEET, it is very unlikely that you will get a government college for MBBS or BAMS as for either of these courses you would need at least 500 or more marks to get a government college even with OBC category.

You should consider private colleges that offer admission with low score in NEET.

can i get a free govt mbbs seat with an all india rank of 367661 and an sc category rank of 34271. if not what can achieve with this rank

Abhi sonkar 18th Jun, 2025

Hey there,

According to facts, less seats and high competition with this rank surely you will not get a mbbs seat in government college, there is very less chance in some government college which ranks poorly in India

You can go for semi government and private for mbbs otherwise there are several other courses like bhms bds bams you can get a seat for these courses in some government college and semi government college

If you go for bds there is slightly high chance of getting a government college.

I got 74964 rank in neet EWS Can i get any mbbs college

Abhi sonkar 18th Jun, 2025

Hey there

At this rank, getting MBBS in top-tier government medical colleges is difficult through All India Quota (AIQ) for EWS.

You may get a seat in lower cutoff states (like Bihar, Rajasthan, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Tripura, etc.) under 85% state quota, depending on your state.

In some private/deemed universities, EWS students may get MBBS via state quota or management quota.
