SHUBHANGI SINHA 24th Jul, 2025

Hello,

It is impossible for General category to get government colleges for MBBS or BDS with a NEET score of 430. But still if you belong to reserved categories, you may be eligible for MBBS in government colleges.

However you may able to get private colleges through state quota or All India quota especially for BDS or AYUSH courses.

200 marks I got in neet 2k25 can i my neet MBBS in our clg

Mahima Sinha 3rd Jul, 2025

With a NEET 2025 score of 200, obtaining an MBBS seat in a government medical college—whether through the All India Quota or your state quota—is exceedingly unlikely. Cutoff marks for MBBS seats in government institutions typically fall in the 480–600+ range, varying by state and category. In short, a score of 200 is well below most thresholds.

That said, there may still be opportunities in private medical colleges or deemed universities, particularly through management quota or NRI quota seats. Be aware, though, that fees in private institutions are substantially higher compared to government colleges.

If MBBS is not feasible, consider related fields such as BDS (Dental), BAMS, BHMS, BPT, or other paramedical courses, where eligibility cutoffs tend to be lower.

For more precise guidance, please provide the following details:

- Your state of residence

- Category (UR/OBC/SC/ST)

- Domicile status

I have secured 411 marks in NEET 2025 (GENERAL) (DELHI) ...my expected rank 90k- 1L...Is there chances that i get adm in any good private MBBS college like KMC Karnataka or Jamia hamdard,Delhi

Afreen 10th May, 2025

With a NEET 2025 score of 411 and a rank between 90,000 and 100,000 in the General category, securing a seat in private colleges like KMC Karnataka or Jamia Hamdard in Delhi is possible, but not guaranteed. While KMC Karnataka and Jamia Hamdard are good private medical colleges, they also have high cutoffs.

KMC Karnataka:

KMC Manipal and KMC Mangalore are well-known private medical colleges in Karnataka. With your expected rank, there's a chance of getting a seat, but it depends on the specific college and seat availability,

Jamia Hamdard:

Jamia Hamdard in Delhi is a reputable medical college, but it's also competitive. The cutoff for Jamia Hamdard is likely to be higher than some other private colleges,

Private College Cutoffs:

Private medical colleges often have lower cutoffs than government colleges, especially for state quota seats. However, the cutoff for well-known private colleges like KMC and Jamia Hamdard can still be competitive,

State Quota:

If you are eligible for state quota seats in your state, your chances of getting into a private college can improve. Many states have lower cutoffs for state quota seats than the All India Quota.

Counseling Process:

The actual cutoff for a college will be determined during the counselling process. It's crucial to carefully review the cutoff trends and preferences for various colleges before filling up the counseling form.

Recommendations:

Explore Other Options:

Don't limit yourself to KMC Karnataka and Jamia Hamdard. Research other private medical colleges in Delhi and other states. There may be colleges with lower cutoffs for your rank.

Participate in Counseling:

Actively participate in both the All India Quota and state quota counselling processes. This will give you a better chance of getting a seat in your preferred college.

Consider Deemed Universities:

Some deemed universities may have lower cutoffs than some private colleges. Explore options in deemed universities as well.

SHUBHANGI SINHA 26th Jul, 2025

Hello,

Yes, if you pass the Neet test with the NTA established minimum cut off scores, you can use your school to get admission to private colleges for MBBS.  You can try for private colleges in a state like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Andhra Pradesh.

Just participate in all rounds of counselling including mop up or stray vacancy rounds. Also keep updated about cut offs.

in parul university can i get admission thorough counseling in mbbs in govt quota because of 15% aiq reservation?

Prachi Kumari 10th May, 2025

Hello,

You cannot get admission to the MBBS course at Parul Institute of Medical Sciences through the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) counselling. Gujarat is a closed state, meaning private medical colleges in Gujarat, including Parul University, do not offer MBBS seats under the AIQ.

These seats are filled through the state's own counselling process, and only candidates who are domiciled in Gujarat are eligible for admission under the government quota in private medical colleges.

Therefore, if you are not a resident of Gujarat, you are not eligible for government quota seats in Parul University. You may consider applying for management or NRI quota seats, which are open to candidates from other states.

Hope it helps !

can i get admission in MBBS in Gujarat state with 401 marks...category SC

Prachi Kumari 11th May, 2025

Hello,

With a NEET score of 401 in the SC category, it is unlikely to get admission in a government medical college in Gujarat.

  • The closing rank for SC candidates in Gujarat's government colleges is usually much higher, around 140,686 with a score of 548.

  • You may have a chance in private medical colleges in Gujarat, where the closing score for SC candidates is about 518.

  • Admission in private colleges involves higher tuition fees.

  • Cutoff scores vary each year, so consider exploring other states or private options.

Hope it helps !

Can I get a mbbs seat in Gandhi or Osmania medical colleges. My expected score is 515

Afreen 10th May, 2025

With an expected NEET score of 515, securing an MBBS seat in Osmania Medical College or Gandhi Medical College (Hyderabad) is unlikely for a general category student, as the cutoff ranks for these colleges are typically much lower for government quotas. A score in this range might offer better prospects for private medical colleges or for students belonging to reserved categories.

Osmania Medical College:

General Category:

In 2024, the last round closing rank for Osmania Medical College (AI Quota) for the MBBS course was 5919. A score of 515 would likely place you outside this range for the general category.

Other Categories:

The cutoff for reserved categories (like OBC) in Osmania Medical College is generally higher than for the general category, making it more competitive, but also slightly easier than the general category.

Gandhi Medical College:

General Category:

While specific cutoff information for Gandhi Medical College (Hyderabad) may vary, a score of 515 would likely be below the cutoff for the general category.

Other Categories:

Reserved categories might have a lower cutoff in Gandhi Medical College, offering a higher chance of admission with a score of 515, according to Shiksha.

Factors Affecting Admission:

NEET Score and Rank:

A higher NEET score translates to a better rank, which is a crucial factor in securing a seat.

Category:

Students belonging to reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC) often have lower cutoff ranks, making it easier to get a seat.

Availability of Seats:

The number of seats available in each category also influences the cutoff.

College Preferences:

During counseling, students can prioritize their college choices, which can affect their chances of admission.
