Hello,

No, the school leaving certificate of 11th grade is not required during MBBS admission. For MBBS admission, the focus is on your 12th-grade documents and other essential certificates. Here’s what you need to know:

Documents Required for MBBS Admission:

NEET Admit Card

NEET Scorecard

Class 10 Certificate/Marksheet (for date of birth proof).

Class 12 Certificate/Marksheet (as proof of eligibility for admission).

Transfer Certificate (TC)/School Leaving Certificate from the school where you completed 12th grade.

Migration Certificate (if applicable, especially if you changed boards).

Caste Certificate (if applying under reserved categories).

Domicile Certificate (if required by your state counseling authority).

Kenma Kozume 23rd Jan, 2025

hi ,

Private colleges in Karnataka usually have their own admission criteria, and do not necessarily require a Karnataka domicile for admission. hence you can apply for private colleges in Karnataka .

about the KCET - students from other different states can't apply for KCET . the only criteria is that only Karnataka resident students can apply for KCET .

for taking admission  in other private college , other colleges have their own criteria for admission which differ from college to college .

hope this helps .

Sir/mem is it compulsory to stay in hostel during mbbs government college . Can me and my wife live together outside the hostel in rent rooms . Hostel is compulsory or not in government medical college mbbs

kumardurgesh1802 22nd Jan, 2025

Hello there,

In most government medical colleges , staying in the hostel is not always compulsory for MBBS students. However, this can vary depending on the college rules:

  1. Mandatory Hostel Stay : Some colleges make it compulsory for MBBS students to stay in the hostel, especially during the first year, for better discipline, academic focus, and safety.

  2. Optional Hostel Stay : In many colleges, students are allowed to stay outside the campus in rented accommodations after seeking permission from the administration.

  3. Living with Family : If the college does not mandate hostel stay, you and your wife can live together in rented housing. You might need to provide a written application or undertake responsibility for living off-campus.

Check the specific rules of your medical college by consulting the administrative office or student handbook.

MBBS in India without neet .. Is it possible in India

Sajal Trivedi 8th Jan, 2025

Hello aspirant,

For Indian students, MBBS without NEET is not an option, both domestically and internationally. In order to study MBBS in India, one must be eligible for NEET. Without NEET, students would not be admitted to any foreign medical school that has received MCI approval.
