Hello Aspirant,
With a rank of 140,000 in NEET , getting a government MBBS college in any part of India (even open states) under the General category is extremely difficult, almost impossible.
Government MBBS seats fill up much earlier, usually within the first 25,000-30,000 ranks for the General category in All India Quota and even in state quotas for most competitive states like Uttar Pradesh. Some sources suggest General cutoffs for government MBBS are typically below 25,000-30,000 AIR.
While some newer or less preferred government colleges might have slightly lower cutoffs in very few states, a rank of 140,000 is generally too high for government MBBS. Your best bet for MBBS would be private medical colleges or considering other courses like BDS (Dentistry) or AYUSH (BHMS, BAMS) in government colleges , where cutoffs are lower.
Hi Prince,
Thank you for your question. With an All India Rank of 2,35,807 and MP state rank of 5707 under SC category, it’s a little tough but not impossible to get a government MBBS seat in Madhya Pradesh.
In MP, under the SC category, government colleges have some reserved seats, and the cutoff ranks generally go up to 4500–5500 state rank but it's varies every year . So your state rank of 5707 is slightly on the border, but still, you may get a seat in the mop-up or stray rounds, especially if others withdraw.
It’s very important that you participate in all rounds of MP state counselling and also keep an eye on AIQ Mop-up and Deemed Universities as a backup.

Hello,
If you’re participating in MBBS counselling through KEA then yes, both the eligibility and domicile certificate are very important, especially if you’re going for state quota.
So please arrange those documents before the document verification round. If you need help, the taluk office or nadakacheri issues domicile for Karnataka.
Good luck for your MBBS journey, and don’t delay the document process.
Yes, for MBBS admission through Karnataka Examinations Authority counselling, having eligibility and domicile certificates is mandatory if you are claiming a state quota seat (85%).
Eligibility Certificate: For students from boards other than Karnataka PUC/CBSE/ICSE (only if required by KEA).
Domicile Certificate: Needed to prove Karnataka residency for state quota eligibility.
If you are applying through All India Quota, domicile is not required.
Yes, for MBBS admission through KEA counselling in Karnataka, it's mandatory to have:
•Eligibility certificate (for non-Karnataka board students)
•Domicile certificate (for state quota seats)
Without these, you won’t get a govt
seat.
Hello aspirant,
A state rank of 13,974 in the SC-B category in NEET puts you in a borderline zone for MBBS admission through state quota. Typically, SC-B students get MBBS seats up to around 10,000–12,000 state rank, depending on the number of seats and the competition in your state.
You might still get a seat in the later rounds, especially if some students withdraw or don’t confirm their seats, you apply in multiple government/ semi-government colleges and aslo you can participate in mop-up rounds and spot counselling.
It’s wise to keep backup options ready, such as:
BAMS, BHMS ,or BPT (Physiotherapy) These courses are also valuable and have career scope in the healthcare field.

With a NEET state rank of 13974 under SC(B) category, your chances of getting an MBBS seat depend on your state, total SC(B) seats available, and cutoffs of previous years. In some states, especially where SC category seats are more, you might have a chance in government or semi-government colleges. Use the official state MBBS college predictor and keep an eye on the previous year's closing ranks for a better idea.
Yes, with a state rank of 13974 and SC(B) category, you do have a good chance to get an MBBS seat under state quota. It mostly depends on your state’s cutoff trends and the number of seats available this year. I would suggest you to attend all counselling rounds because sometimes seats open up in later rounds too. So don’t lose hope and keep checking the updates regularly.

With a category rank of 1,36,668 in SC category in NEET 2025, you have a fair chance of getting admission in private medical colleges in West Bengal under the state quota.
In previous years, SC category seats in private medical colleges under West Bengal state quota have gone to ranks as high as 1.8 to 2.5 lakh. Since your rank is within that range, you are likely to be eligible for admission, especially in later rounds of counselling.
Final allotment will depend on the number of applicants, seat availability, and cut-off trends that year. You should participate in all rounds of state counselling and be ready with required documents and fees.
Your daughter scored 388 in NEET 2025 under the BC-E category in Andhra Pradesh. She has a moderate chance of getting an MBBS seat, especially in private colleges or later rounds of counselling.
Top government colleges may be tough in the first round, but she could get a seat in newer or less competitive government colleges in round 2 or mop-up. It's important to participate in all rounds and fill in maximum choices.
