i got 464 marks and air 118200 in neet 2020 from sc. can I get any govt. mbbs seat in bihar from state quota.

Sourav singh 17th Nov, 2021

Hello rishabh,

Based on previous year cut-off, to attain a BDS seat in a government dental college, a candidate is required to score a minimum of 450 marks in NEET. As you belong to reserved category therefore the SC/ST/OBC cut-off score was 146-113 .

Under 15% all india quota, you need to score more than 480 marks in neet to get seat. As you have got 464 marks so you might not have a chance for getting the seat in government college but you can go for private colleges.

If I get a MBBS seat in first round AIQ MCC counseling, then will I be out of Maharashtra state counseling... when can I leave the seat in case I get MBBS in Maharashtra?

crremyaprasad 30th Oct, 2020

Hello student,

Yes you can leave the seats and join state quota seats, but only within the stipulated time. If the stipulated time is over then you have to pay the cancellation fee. So take wise decisions.

There shall be a single eligibility cum entrance examination namely ‘National

Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to all Health Science courses’ for

academic year 2019-20.

b. In order to be eligible for admission to Health Science Courses for a particular

academic year, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain minimum marks in

‘National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test’ held for the said academic year, besides

obtaining minimum prescribed marks at the qualifying examination as prescribed by

respective central council.

c. The reservation of seats for respective categories shall be as per applicable laws

prevailing in States/Union Territories. An All India merit list as well as State-wise

merit list of the eligible candidates shall be prepared on the basis of the marks

obtained in National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test and candidates shall be admitted

to Health Science courses from the said lists only.

d. No candidate who has failed to obtain the minimum eligibility marks as prescribed by

the respective Central Council shall be admitted to respetive Course in the said

academic year.

e. All admissions to Health Science courses within the respective categories shall be

based solely on marks obtained in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test.

f. National Testing Agency shall be the organization to conduct National Eligibility-

cum-Entrance Test for admission to MBBS/BDS courses.

Hope this will help

Thank you

Anurag Khanna 19th Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

On such marks and category you have good chances of getting some convener quota or Management quota seats in some medical colleges in Telangana under state quota according to previous year's cut-off. As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that you can get following colleges :-

  • AYAAN INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
  • BHASKAR MEDICAL COLLEGE, MOINABAD, R.R.(DST)
  • C ANANDA RAO INST. OF MED. SCI., KARIMNAGAR

And some more. You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-telangana

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use NEET College Predictor:-

I hope this information helps you.

My Score is 425 and my AIR rank is 157569 and OBC Category rank is 69409, Domicile Telangana state can i get Govt MBBS seat in state quota.

Mrinalini Sarkar 19th Oct, 2020

Hello,

According to your score I think you could get admission in government colleges. Although it could be difficult but you do have chances in the later rounds of counselling. The number of seats in states quota is limited and it is very difficult to say if you will get  admission in MBBS under state quota because it also depends on the number of students who appeared from that state. Still you could use this link to predict the colleges and further proceed with the counselling process- https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=neetug-cp-lp&ici=nav-header_medicine

Hope it helps,

Good luck.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 19th Oct, 2020

Hi

Your profile suggest that your domicile state is Tamilnad

It's quite difficult to predict that whether you will get  seat or not as  cut off marks/rank for medical colleges keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

But when we go through previous data then it suggests that with 385 marks being from sc  you hold   a  chance for mbbs seat in following Medical Colleges under Tamil nadu state quota

*Velammal Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Madurai

I have secured 415 marks in neet, do I have the chance to get govt /govt seat in private clg Karnataka ( I have 371j n belong to OBC) if not I have two options to repeat or to go abroad. I m totally confused please help me through this. What is better to choose whether to repeat or abroad?

iammohdshareef 27th Nov, 2020
According to Karnataka NEET 2020 Cutoffs for MBBS, OBC cut-offs are inbetween 411 to 520. Not every college has same cutoff. As you have scored 415 and it's considering as minimum score. So you may get a seat or you may not. But yeah you can in private colleges toh will get a seat in some College

Now, if you want to study only in a reputated college in India, reappear for neet next year, score 700+ and go for the College you want

If you don't want to waste a year and can afford to study in abroad you can proceed for it. Even it is a good choice instead of wasting a year.

In this two government medical Colleges the mark required to get admission is less than your score

  • Alluri Sitarama Raju Academy of Medical Sciences, Eluru
  • Dr. Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Foundation, Gannavaram, Krishna Dist
  • Katuri Medical College, Chinakondrupadu
  • Great Eastern Medical School, Srikakulam

I got 508 in neet 2020 .is there any chances of getting MBBS seat .general catering

athu brown 18th Oct, 2020

Dear student,

Hope you're doing well.

If you belong to unreserved category, it's quite difficult for you to get a government college through NEET. But for reserved category, you might get a good Government college for this score,  as, there are just approx 43000 seats in India for MBBS from govt colleges. You may get a seat in semi government college too.

I am attaching the link for the previous year cutoff to different medical colleges in Indian.

neet 2020 my marks 232 how get MBBS seat

Apoorva Student Expert 18th Oct, 2020

Hello dear student,

As you have not mentioned you category dear student and the qualifying cut off marks was -

Qualifying cutoff

UR/EWS: 720-147

OBC: 146-113

SC: 146-113

ST: 146-113

UR/EWS-PWD: 146-129

As you have obtained very less marks dear student with this marks you will not be able to get admission into any of the government medical or dental colleges. Even in getting admission into MBBS college under management quota will not be possible as this year cutoff have increased comparatively higher than the last year so it can be difficult to get admission under management quota. Are students with higher marks will also so try to get admission under management quota if they do not get seat under government quota
