The eligibility criteria for applying to an MCA course is that you should have Computer Science in your Bachelors or you should have done BCA. Since your Bachelor's is from the Arts stream, you are not eligible for the MCA course in any college or university. Your 12th subject will not matter in taking admission in a science field after you switch to the Arts/Humanities stream, the Master's level especially.

The eligibility criteria for the MCA in NIT:
A bachelor's degree in B.Sc., B.Sc. (Hons.), BCA, BIT, B. Voc., or BBA with mathematics, business mathematics, or statistics as one of the topics and a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA are the requirements for admission to the MCA curriculum.

In most MCA (Master of Computer Applications) entrance exams, candidates are provided with rough work paper or sheets for calculations and rough workings.
Candidates are typically allowed to use the rough work paper or sheets provided during the exam to solve mathematical problems, work out algorithms, or make notes as needed.
