In most of the colleges and Universities, the eligibility criteria for the MCA course is that the student need to score at least 50% marks in UG course and must have Mathematics as one of the subject in there UG course. As you didn't have Mathematics in your UG degree, you won't be eligible. Also there are some universities which requires the presence of Computer Science & Mathematics as subjects in there UG course.

The course duration of mca will be after pgdca(one year or two year)??

Shilu Singha 14th Aug, 2022

Hello!

MCA is a two year post graduate degree course. But in some institutions, lateral entry into the second year of MCA is given to candidates who have completed PGDCA. So, for those candidates the course duration is only 1 year.

However, it should be noted that it is same for all institutions. It would have been better if you could mention the name of the institution in which you wanted to study.

Hope this helps!

if I have passed O level as well as A level so can I get directly admission into MCA??

Arhana Chakraborty 11th Aug, 2022

If you wish to take admission in the course of MCA in India, then you need to complete a UG degree program in any stream with Mathematics as one of the subject or BCA course, in order to be eligible for the course of MCA.

So without having a UG degree you can't take admission in the course of MCA. If you have passed class 12th or its equivalent in any stream, then you can take admission in the course of BCA.
