For doing MCA , mathematics is mandatory either in 12th or graduation. You are a commerce student (12th) and you have not studied mathematics in 12th but you will study mathematics in graduation if you choose BCA and would be eligible for doing MCA. The course emphasis on latest programming languages and tools to develop better and faster applications. BCA makes a base while MCA adds a specialized touch in the subjects studied in BCA.
Eligibility:
Students who have done their graduation in any discipline like Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering, BCA / BSc IT/ BSc CS from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.
Aspirants should have studied Mathematics subject in the 10+2 standard or graduation level.

In most of the colleges and Universities, the eligibility criteria for the MCA course is that the student need to score at least 50% marks in UG course and must have Mathematics as one of the subject in there UG course. As you didn't have Mathematics in your UG degree, you won't be eligible. Also there are some universities which requires the presence of Computer Science & Mathematics as subjects in there UG course.

MCA is a two year post graduate degree course. But in some institutions, lateral entry into the second year of MCA is given to candidates who have completed PGDCA. So, for those candidates the course duration is only 1 year.
However, it should be noted that it is same for all institutions. It would have been better if you could mention the name of the institution in which you wanted to study.

If you wish to take admission in the course of MCA in India, then you need to complete a UG degree program in any stream with Mathematics as one of the subject or BCA course, in order to be eligible for the course of MCA.
So without having a UG degree you can't take admission in the course of MCA. If you have passed class 12th or its equivalent in any stream, then you can take admission in the course of BCA.
