Hello aspirant,

Previously, the MCA programme was three years long, however it was lowered to two years in December 2019 during the UGC's 545th conference. As a result, starting in 2020-21, the MCA will be a two-year programme.

My graduation is completed in BA but I completed my 12th in Science (PCM), I want to work in IT industry, Which (Online) course is best for me BCA or (Direct) MCA (Because Im graduated, so Im eligible for MCA)?

Arhana Chakraborty 21st Apr, 2022

If you want to go for the IT sector jobs then I would suggest going for the course of MCA will be a better choice for you. MCA graduates gets a much better job packages compared to that of the BCA's. Also, there are not much of a problem if you get into MCA from any other field as there are quite good scopes of learning. So if you are up for investing time then why will you just go for the course of BCA instead go for MCA which will obviously provide you a better opportunity.

For more information regarding the MCA consider the link below:

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 18th Apr, 2022

Hi

Its okay even if you have done mca which is a post graduation course, but which course have you done at graduation level ?

Did you have at least any two of physics chemistry and Biology/biotechnology  in your graduation?

-----------------------) If yes, then you need to select code 6 as it is for all those students who have passed  BSc  with at least any two of following subjects :-

>>>>Physics,

>>>>chemistry ,

>>>>biology/biotechnology

-----------------------) If not, then you need to select code 2 as in that case your highest qualification with all the three PCB subjects remains 10 + 2

For your reference,

Here's a short brief of Neet codes :-

-----------------------------) Code 1 :- code 1 is for class 12th board 2022 examination appearing students with physics, chemistry, biology and English or have have already appeared but results are awaited i. e have not been declared.

-----------------------------) Code 2 :- code 2 is for all those who have passed their 10+2/higher /senior secondary/ Indian School Certificate Examination with physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology and English

-----------------------------) Code 3 :- code 3 says it is for those passed their intermediate / pre- degree examination  with physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology and English ,your physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology should also contain practical exam.

-----------------------------) Code 4 :- pre - medical degree with Physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology after passing hsc i. e 10+2 or puc or equivalent.

-----------------------------) Code 5 :- code 5 is for all those who have passed  1 st year 3 year graduation with all the three of  Physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology

-----------------------------) Code 6 :- code 6 is for all those students who have passed  BSc  with at least any two of following subjects :-

>>>>Physics,
