Sir, i recently completed my BTech degree in electrical engineering but i found myself naturally more interested in mechanical engineering.i want to join drdo as mechanical engineering scientist through GATE.what options are for me sir?

satyamercedes0626 26th Jan, 2024

Hello,

Hope you are doing great.

I regret to inform you that, you cannot apply for the DRDO exam by way of Mechanical Engineering course. As the application will ask you for the Btech degree in Mechanical Engineering. So, you only have two options now. You can either start the Mechanical Course freshly, or you can join DRDO from your stream itself.

Hope this helps!!

Question : Directions: Arrange the given words in the sequence in which they occur in the dictionary.
1. Home  2. House  3. Houston  4. Honor  5. Horror

Option 1: 1, 5, 4, 3, 2

Option 2: 1, 4, 5, 2, 3

Option 3: 1, 4, 5, 3, 2

Option 4: 1, 5, 4, 2, 3

Team Careers360 24th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: 1, 4, 5, 2, 3

Solution : Given:
1. Home  2. House  3. Houston  4. Honor  5. Horror

Step 1: Compare the first letter of each word. Since all the words start with the same letter H, move to the next letter.
Step 2: Compare the second letter of each word. The second letter of each word is o, then move on to the next letter.
Step 3: The third letter of each word is – m, u, u, n, r. Based on the alphabetical order of these letters, we can arrange them – Home, House, Houston, Honor, Horror
Step 4: Compare the fourth letter of (House, Houston). Since the fourth letter of both the words is the same. Therefore, move on to the next letter.
Step 4: Compare the fifth letter of (House, Houston). House will come before Houston in the sequence as e comes before t in the alphabetical order.

So, the sequence will be Home, Honor, Horror, House, Houston, or 1, 4, 5, 2, 3. Hence, the second option is correct.
