Medical Colleges in Chennai
Hello candidate !!
Cut off change every year depending on various factors like number of seat available , number of candidates qualifying the exam etc.
In 2018 the cut off of Government Medical College , Omandurar was 376 for DNC .
If next year the cut off higher than this than you should score at least 410+ to ensure you a seat.
All the best.
Hope this helps.
Hello Liyakhat,
Not all students who get seats in deemed university, join them mainly because of very high fees in these institutions.
SRMC is one such college. Although your marks are less, you can wait till final round of counselling and be patient.
If your luck favors, you might grab a seat in Sree Ramchandra Medical College, Chennai.
All the best!
Hello,
That's a decent score. So congratulations to your first of all for that score.
Looks a little tentative dear. The cutoff last year for All India Quota into Kilpauk Medical college ended at 554. But as you would be knowing the cutoff is expected to rise this year as the number of candidates had increased and also the paper level was declared easy comparative to the previous years. So the cutoff this year in Kilpauk Medical college is predicted this year to be 565. And you seem just close to it but not par.

If you want to get a seat in Tamil Nadu state itself, then you can try for GMC Vellore or Tirunelveli as your marks seem enough to get admission in those colleges.
All the best to you.
Thankyou.
Hi
This year data has been yet uploaded officially . So last year least marks to secure a seat in Stanley medical college,Chennai fr your category under state quota was 411 marks . So as per that you need to score marks around these to secure a seat in the same college. Talking of which remember that cutoff varies every year depending on number of students appearing in exam, difficulty level of exam, students scoring more than you and your category.
Hope this helps
Hi Nitin
The concept of EWS quota has been described and started this year only.
That is why predicting the cutoff for this category is really difficult and is most likely to be wrong.
The trends in JEE change every year so you must wait till the end of the counseling to get to know any absolute cutoff.
Hello, Candidate
Your chances are very low of getting a government college in Chennai with this score cut off is nearly 480+ for most of the government college for SC students
Hope this helps you if you have any queries you can add in comment section
257 marks was the least cutoff last year equivalent to an AIQ category rank of 7518 for sc category in Tamil Nadu state. The college with least cutoff was IRT Perundurai Medical College, Perundurai and you seem away from it. The cutoffs are expected to rise this high since you too might be knowing that the number of candidates had increased and also the paper level was called easy comparatively..
Either take a drop and comeback with better marks next year or else go for other courses like BAMS BHMS or BPT or BSC etc.
