Medical Electronics
Hi,
Medical Electronics is a field in which an engineer puts together his knowledge of biology and medicine with engineering to produce devices that are solutions to prevailing medical and health-related problems. Now, considering the fact that the medical sector is booming, this field sure looks bright but looking at the current opportunities available, an average monthly salary for starters at this very moment would be roughly around 15K or so which isn't far too good. But, this field's scope in foreign countries very good so, if you are really interested in this branch and have plans to go abroad too then I would suggest that you go ahead with this branch!
Also, if you are interested in this field but don't want to move out of India then I'd suggest that you pursue this course from the best college available like, MIT Pune or MS Ramaiah.
Like this things depends upon you and your interest. This is like how much you are interested in electronics .You have to decide and rate yourself on a scale of 10 for your electronics knowledge and how do you want to persue your career .Like even if u are doing electronics there are many different subject that shows a high a lot of interest in real life. For example you can be a good embedded engineer and have a lot of good and innovative things to do. So electronics engineer have a lot of interest in programming like REAL IT PROGRAMMING.You can even have a mechatronics interest . NOW a days ROBOTICS is also an wide and up growing branch of electronics.
Your BSc marks matters a lot.Even after BSc you can apply for jobs and have decent career,But as a i said your knowledge, interest and marks matters a lot . If you damn interested in electronics You can go for masters in USA or New Zealand or any other countries .You can look at the terms and condition for going abroad .There are different exams and everything. You can do masters in any field of your choice and interest .By doing masters you get an advantage of having a good future and you can be placed in some RnD department of any company where you can learn a lot and have a good income (which is main thing that matters more than interest) .
I will suggest you to look at your interest and if you are very much interested in electronics go for the masters and have a bright career.
I hope this will help you!! Have a good career ahead. All the best!!!
Yes placements are good. But it depends from which college have you done your graduation in and also your caliber and skills.
On an average you can expect a package of 4-7 lakhs without any experience.
Let me know if there is anything specific you want to know.
Medical Electronics engineers develop devices and procedures that solve medical and health-related problems by combining their knowledge of biology and medicine with engineering principles and practices.
The Health Care industry has been growing at a rapid pace in the past few years. With an annual growth rate of 30%.The Indian Healthcare Industry is estimated at US$22 billion and the Medical device market is estimated at US $ 1.85 billion and growing at 15% per annum. Thus with the rapid pace of growth comes the ever increasing demand for highly skilled and well trained Medical Electronics Engineering work force.
This branch will see growth in coming years due to the growth in health care business and new technology inventions in the area but as of now the career scope is decent and not very booming. After attaining a degree you would be able to find a job with Hospitals & various medical equipment manufacturers or after gaining some experience start your own manufacturing business.
