medical seats increased this year ? how much increase .give details in karnataka

arpan00002 22nd Oct, 2020

Hello aspirant,

You asked about the no. of medical seats in Karnataka.

Look, in 2016 , no. of seats in mbbs & bds is around 7000. Karnataka MBBS counselling 2020 is conducted for filling 85% State Quota seats which includes 6577 MBBS and 2674 BDS seats in colleges of this s tate.

it is 65%–35% share between govt and comedk about seats. This means 65% of seats are allotted via CET & 35% via COMEDK. Students write both exams generally and choose seats as per their ranking & availability of seats.

Rishita hari 22nd Oct, 2020

Hello Keerti,

Your neet score is 390 and you have category reservation,so your predicted rank is 151240 - 183390 AIR

Now,you have hyderabad Karnataka domicile so you are certainly eligible for the Karnataka state counselling and also to take admission in hyderabad colleges.

Please follow the link below to know about the previous years cutoffs, but important note that this cutoff change every year and this year is quite high. https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-karnataka

Therefore, in the  MBBS colleges either gov or private you seem to have less chances as the cutoff rank for your category even was min 117158. Now, for the BDS colleges you have chances are Sri Rajiv Gandhi dental college, Rajarajeshwari dental college, KLES college, Krishnadevaraya , Bangalore dental college Al ameen,Vydehi dental college, PM nadagouda, Maratha Mandal college etc.

Hi , with 502 marks your predicted rank is between 50336- 62486 according to https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-rank-predictor talking about marks last year closing rank for

General was 30947 in sln medical college, koraput

GC 31348 in government medical college balasore

SC 87767 in government medical college

Balangir

St 258727 in sln medical college  koraput
