Yes you can apply to many jobs after completing ITI. Because every department needs ITI trainers apart from other posts. You can join merchant navy as a rating on deck or on engine side. You can either be an engine fitter or a pump man on ship. There are futher training courses available to join ship. Get certification from class society so that you can be an approved welder as a class society so your scope will increase. As per the requirement many skilled professionals are needed for ship and many company are searching for them officers are plenty but skilled labour’s are lesser.

Hello student yes you're eligible for Merchant Navy as NIOS is a recognized board and student passed from NIOS are eligible to pursue Merchant Navy. However eligibility criteria vary from college to college so you need to fulfill the eligibility criteria of the respective college in which you're willing to pursue Merchant Navy.
ELIGIBILITY - Candidates must passed or appearing class 12 in physics chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 60 percent marks from a recognized board.

You need to do below mentioned things to become a deck officer: You can join the merchant navy from age 16 onwards as an officer cadet or marine apprentice and train as a deck rating. You will at least four GCSEs (grades A-C), or equivalent qualifications. These should include English, Maths and physics (or combined science). You must have good eyesight and be physically fit, as you will have to pass a medical before you can start training. You can also start your career after completing an industry-backed foundation degree, HND or degree at university. These courses usually include on board practical training.
So if you are a 12th repeater then there will be no problem provided you should satisfy the age eligibility criteria.

Sponsorship in reference to Merchant navy means that you have been selected by a shipping company and upon completion of your pre-sea training or course you will be able to train abroad their ship and learn practical skills and earn stipend as well.
The sponsorship test of merchant navy is completed in 3 phases as follows:
1. Written offline/online test
2. Psyometric/16 PF test
3. Personal interview
4. Medical examination ( by D.G. approved doctors)
Candidate who successfully passed all phases are then spnsored by the company and issued sponsorship letter.

For joining merchant navy, you have to complete your graduation and so for pursuing bachelor merchant navy courses, you must have completed your Class 12 with science stream and physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects.
The minimum requirement is 60 percent and the minimum age requirement for this is between 17 to 25 years.
