MET B.Tech
Hi Nihal,
I think you might not get a rank less than 1000 but I suggest you to use this rank predictor tool which will give you a decent idea about your rank-> https://collegeadmissionsinfo.in/mu-oet-rank-predictor-2019/
Hope this helps.
Hello Navdeep,
The exam of mu oet is followed by a paper of 200 questions.
Physics - 50 questions
Chemistry - 50 questions
Maths - 70 questions
English and general aptitude - 30 questions.
So english section contains 30 questions and all the questions are multiple choice questions.
Four marks are awarded for every correct answer and for every incorrect answer one mark will be deducted.
Good luck.
Hello Pranav,
As you know,The minimum marks required to get the admission is the cutoff for the MET.The candidate who will not meet MU OET cutoff will have the fewer chances of admission in comparison to the candidates who have rank more than or equivalent to cutoff. As your marks are 466/800 therefore the chances of having your rank are between 1k and 2k and the closing rank of getting the CSE in Manipal main campus is 2000.Therefore there are the chances of getting this branch a for you. That's why you can apply for this branches if you are interested.Because it has a good scope along with demand in the market. But if you are not interested in CSE you can apply for other branches like ECE,Mechanical,Civil and chemical. You can easily get one of them.
Hello Aspirant,
It would be difficult to predict about the Rank & Admission Possibilities as Marking scheme of the exam has been changed, Previous year the Marking scheme was of total marks 200 but this year it is 800, Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
I would suggest you to wait till it officially announced.
Good Luck!
Although this year since the pattern of exam has changed and it might be difficult to predict your chances of actually getting an admit to any of campuses, as we don't have any past trends.
But at your marks the chances are quite bleak especially with regards to securing a seat in any of the branches and in any of the campuses, since your scores are on the lower side.
Hello Saketh,
Since the pattern for MET has changed this year, the maximum marks has been increased to 800 from 200. It is difficult to comprehend the chances of getting a seat in any of courses at this stage. We should wait for college to release the rank for this year's exam so as to get a better picture of situation based on the current exam pattern since marks Vs rank is always subjective to the relative performance of the candidates appearing for the exam.
