Satyam Student Expert 5th Jul, 2019

See metallurgical engineering is basically studyof metals and their different properties. It covers mining, extraction, design, processing of metals. You will also be learning different fundamentals of engineering mechanics which is helpful at later stage.

Although metallurgical is based on chemical metallurgy but in first few semester you will get mathematics as it is a common subject. But you can solve the problem if you work hard and pay attention to it.

So you sre good for metallurgical engineering.

Does metallurgical engineering involve maths

hummok98_5688036 Student Expert 3rd Jul, 2019

Hello!

Yes, it involves mathematics.

Math is taught to all engineering students even before their actual syllabus starts. Metallurgical engineers require a very good knowledge of physics, chemistry and physical metallurgy, all of which requires math skills. Mathematics is the foundation of most sciences including thermodynamics.

What are career option after metallurgical engg

Mythri 30th Jun, 2019
Hey !
The metallurgical profession is extremely diverse, and it offers a wide variety of career opportunities for young people who have an interest in technology, science and engineering.
Metallurgical engineers are employed in every industry and enterprise that produces, buys, sells, refines or manufactures metals or metallic products. One of the best career option is to go for post graduation course (this is suggested coz you may not be paid to the extent you expect just after your undergraduation in this stream and also helpful for your career growth later on). Mtech or PhD is the best choice. And the Institute in which you pursue this also matters. IIT's, IISc etc stand at the top.
Check the below link for information regarding the course.
