Hello Aspirant
First of all Congratulating you on your nice performance that you deserve to be in NITs.
For metallurgical engineering I would suggest you in the order of most to list preferred.
Follow the order of preferences and get the best college admitted.
Good luck for your counselling procedure :)
Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
Yes sir there will be mathematicis involved in course but major part of the course you need include following course:
Chemical Metallurgy
Corrosion and Degradation of MaterialsDeformation and Mechanical Working of MaterialsElements of ElectroceramicsIntroduction to Materials Science and EngineeringIron and Steel MakingMineral Process Plant Design
Polymers and Nanocomposites
Principles of Metal Extraction and Refinin
Thermodynamics and Kinetics of Materials
See metallurgical engineering is basically studyof metals and their different properties. It covers mining, extraction, design, processing of metals. You will also be learning different fundamentals of engineering mechanics which is helpful at later stage.
Although metallurgical is based on chemical metallurgy but in first few semester you will get mathematics as it is a common subject. But you can solve the problem if you work hard and pay attention to it.
So you sre good for metallurgical engineering.
Hello!
Yes, it involves mathematics.
Math is taught to all engineering students even before their actual syllabus starts. Metallurgical engineers require a very good knowledge of physics, chemistry and physical metallurgy, all of which requires math skills. Mathematics is the foundation of most sciences including thermodynamics.
Dear student, Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University Hyderabad is one of the top most universities in Hyderabad for pursuing engineering courses. Chemical and metallurgical Engineering are both good and well taught in JNTU. Generally, chemical engineering students have better placement and better faculties than that of metallurgical engineering students but the record varies from year to year.
Yes, most probably you can get Materials and Metallurgical Engineering in First Round in Jadavpur University according to last year's opening and closing rank which was around 5k to 8k approximately.
All the best!
The jobs for Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in Tamil Nadu are:
Thank you
Hello
Yes you can always change your field just make projects in different programming languages and practice coding problems in websites like hackerrank and letscode make a strong CV from now.
After doing your graduation join a startup with software profile and gain experience for around 1-2 years after that that would be a lot necessary, after that you can go for software field and if you have made your profile strong then you are good to go for Google,Microsoft, etc.
