Metallurgy
Metallurgy in iit bombay would be a better choice its not that iitk and iitm are not good but the fact that some of countries top minds aspire to come to iitb so the competition here is fierce which makes you work hard hence ultimately helps you to achieve you goals moreover the brand value of iitb is also great so iitb would be a good choice.
Dear Student ,
Your query is incomplete and not properly understandable as you haven't mentioned or informed about your entrance exam details in your question . Though you have given your choice of domain, rank and caste details but exam name is mandatory to answer any proper information about the colleges in which you have chances to get admission. So , that's why.. you are requested to modify your query by mentioning the above details mandatorily !
Hope you understand !
Hii dear
Hope you are doing well. NIT JSR is a good college in terms of placement and accommodation. You will see the stats for this college is average. Now, metallurgy can be a good option as a Branch in here because Tata company directly recruits from here and you have a better chance for placement. The Branch schedule is not very hectic so you can pursue your interests too.
You can know more about it here

All the best
Hello dear aspirant,
As already mentioned in the business rules of JOSSA, if any candidate chooses "FLOAT" option and her college gets upgraded in further rounds of JOSSA the candidate shall not have any claim over the previously alloted seat.
So, your friend has to now adjust with the alloted seat and wait for further rounds so that she gets a better college and branch.
Moreover, she can also take part in CSAB rounds and see if she gets the desired college.
All the best!!
Hi,

Those candidate who have completed graduation with 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST category) and must have studied mathematics as a subject in 12th can also apply to this course.
Those candidates who have passed diploma from Orissa need not appear for OJEE.

Dear aspirant,
If you were to take my opinion I think it is better to go to a government college rather than a private college. Because you are also getting a brand name along with government college .
And if placements is considered it's average . The average package is around 5-6 L for the metallurgy branch. Companies like vedanta, jindal steel comes for recruitment. There is also scope non core areas like data science.
NIT warangal(nirf rank 23) is ranked higher in nirf ranking than mnnit allahabad(42) so you may have an inclination towards nit warangal but mind that nirf ranking does not tell the full story you should keep in mind that mnnit allahabad has highest average package among all nits also in the recently declared atal innovation ranking mnnit was ranked 10th ahead of many top iits as well now talking about the branches you are stating so in the current scenario civil has better prospects but yes metallurgy is also an evergreen branch so first clear yourself about the branch you are comfortable with but looking at the overall scenario nit allahabad civil would be a good option though final decision will always be yours.
Dear candidate out of two options which makes it tuff for you to decide, NIT Surat is a very good college and M.Sc Physics curriculum is also nicely taught, but considering the future prospects I would suggest you to choose Metallurgy and Materials Science over this as the placement trends in College of Engineering,Pune is much better. The infrastructure is well established, labs are well equipped, Faculties of Metallurgy branch are extremely qualified. So overall your experience would be great, as a starting package the companies would offer you 6-8 LPA.

Hope it helps you to choose!!
If you were to take my opinion then I would recommend you to take nit nagpur metallurgy because of certain reasons:-
1- First of all nit nagpur metallurgy branch has strong placements . It has an average package of 6.5 L and companies like vedanta, Tata group, jindal steel and more visit for recruitment.
2- In terms of faculty , metallurgy department is not so bad and also not so good but they are supportive.
3-The Infrastructure is very good and it has a library where you can explore anything.

Dear candidate it's great that you have chosen Metallurgy as your career stream. Out of the two options that brings confusion, Punjab Engineering College is overall good but the Placement and Academic records doesn't reflect too impressive results. When comes to MNIT Jaipur, it's a better choice to be made. The Metallurgy departmental Faculties are nice, the necessary curriculum notes are provided and the academic facilities are abundant. Coming to placements, average package ranges from 6-7 LPA whereas highest Salary Package rise above 20 LPA.
