Metallurgy
Hello,
IIT Roorkee is the 7th institution established among the IIT institutions. IIT Roorkee is one of the oldest and the biggest institutes of technical education in the country, hosting 21 Academic Departments, 1 Academic Centre, 3 Centres of Excellence, 5 Academic Service Centres and 3 Supporting units.Around 80 percent of the students were placed in this college. The highest package CTC was about 35 Lacs per annum and average was 13 Lacs per annum. Most of the company offered the roles for software developer, data Science, data analyst and graphic designer roles in Roorkee.
There are basic facilities available not very good nor bad. If you are going for fun and games this is not the varsity for you. And the faculty is not approachable as well.
Hope this helps!!
Hi,
The Placement criteria mostly depends on company. Many Technology Companies may set criteria that students from CSE and IT can only apply for them while many also have no such pre requisite. Companies like Microsoft, Google , Facebook have no such criteria. Any student can apply for their placement exams. However sometimes, College can itself impose restrictions on other branch student although that happens very less often.. If you know coding then definitely you have better chances of getting good package.
I hope this will answer your query.
Thanks!!!!
Hi dear aspirant,
You are asking about which one is better so in simple words would say the National Institute of Technology, Trichy is the best among all. In fact, for any course, NIT Trichy offers better placements and quality education that a student needs.
Also, the reputation of this college is best and holds more value than any other as compared to other colleges.
I would suggest you go with NIT Trichy if you get the opportunity to study.
Also, you have mentioned CSE. Computer Science and Engineering is one of the best and valuable branches as compared to recent times. The need for IT engineers is increasing day by day. If you have internet in government or metallurgy related fields then go with metallurgy.
Talking about IIT Indore. See, talking about an IIT tag if you want to add the tag then go with IIT Indore but you must understand the value in future.
A wise decision is always appreciated.

Hey there
NIT Rourkela:
IIIT Dharwad
By above points it can be said that both are good but the former one has an edge in placements

None branch in Engineering is hard it's all about you interest.
Metallurgy Engineering is not very easy but not difficult also if you've put in some efforts.
If you enjoy theory, Metallurgy is mostly going to be easy for you. Most of the metallurgical subjects except Metallurgical Thermodynamics and Kinetics, Computational Material Engineering , Phase Transformations, Physical Metallurgy and Mechanical Metallurgy are largely theoretical.

Hope this help
Thank you
Hello student,
I would not exactly suggest you what to take or what not but I will help you compare your options. IIIT Dharwad is not a very good college but the branch CSE is a very demanding branch as of now. However, NIT Nagpur is a great college with top class faculty and a huge campus but the branch metallurgy may be a little under valued as of now. So, after this, I would strongly suggest you to take up the choice of branch purely on the basis of you liking and interests and do not expect a massive branch upgrade after first year as it may be practically impossible. So, if you want good branch, you may opt for IIIT Dharwad CSE, whereas if you want a good college, you may opt for NIT Nagpur.

I hope this helps, All the Best!
Congratulations on getting such good college and branch options. I will give you a preference list which will comprise of all these factors:
The preference order you should consider is:
As a branch considering the current scenario and employability status I would suggest going for Chemical than Metallurgy because of the following factors:
I would also like to add here that an engineering course should be very much taken with an interest in the field so I would suggest you to consider that factor and if you are not aware of the branches mentioned look them up on the internet more reliable will be to go through the syllabus on the respective colleges' website. An interest in the field is the key factor in deciding how your $ years of college will be and what opportunities you will land for yourself.
Good luck, hope it helps!!
if you are not a person who is oriented towards computer science only then go ahead with chemical in nit durgapur it will give you a nit tag plus nit durgapur has a good alumni network which helps in placements and good level of competition is there in nit durgapur so if you are ok with chemical branch which does not have good prospects in india at the current moment then go with nit dgp chemical or if you are oriented towards cse only then go with iiit sricity ece as ece is somewhat related with cse but other institutes just for cse are not recommended though final decision is yours.
Hello Sagar,
The Question you are asking is not a public one. The main decision maker is you, As you need to decide your career based on your interest and passion. Always remember though you compromise on college but never compromise on the branch. In your query you have included various branches and colleges which you can decide by going through the following link :
https://dqxeclau.top/compare-colleges
This link helps you to decide the best suitable college for you.
If you are still waiting for others advice then I can say that going along the coding side might be better.
Hope this is clear..
Hello Aspirant,
See for now CSAB server is not working so we are unable to help you with the cut-offs of CSAB round but we can guide you through JOSAA counselling.
So as we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2020 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that :-
Closing EWS rank for NIT Jaipur was :-
So you have quite low chances to get NIT Jaipur either with Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or with Chemical Engineering branch even in CSAB round because your CRL rank is much higher than the cut-offs.
You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-
