Is it a good choice to do MHA after MBBS? What is its further scope? I have never known someone whos done MHA Or MBA after MBBS..... Id like to know their experience also.

rajaman9300 Student Expert 4th Apr, 2020

Hello Akanksha

The choice depends upon your Future Goals. If you really want to run an administration or having any plans of opening your own Nursing Home then yes MHA or MBA is always a better choice. You can be assigned as a MD instead of treating patients. You can work with major Hospital Employees.

What is the average salary of MBA & MHA (master in hospital administration) ?

hrithik jain 20th Mar, 2020

Hello

The salary factor depends on various factors like the candidates experience, the College you are graduating from etc. As, the average salary for the top Colleges increases as compared to the medium B-schools. The average salary you can expect is to be around 4-5L as a fresher. Same in the case of MHA as well. If you are now looking to get admission into the college then try getting admission into a college which has a good ROI as it will help you get a better opportunity and package as well. Moreover, if you take admission in a medium B-schools then you may get less package but it all then depends on your performance and dedication (performance is also important in Top Colleges as to sustain you need to perform in the organization).

I belong from an arts background and presently pursuing my graduation in that but for applying in AFMC for MHA course,is it necessary to belong from science stream? What is the name of the entrance exam for this course? If anyone could clear it out

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 6th Mar, 2020

Samima, to pursue MHA in AFMC,  you should have completed your MBBS along with 1 year mandatory rotational internship and should have written NEET PG. But if you are from Arts background and are pursuing any other graduation apart from MBBS, unfortunately you do not qualify for MHA.
