Hi i Actually wanted to Know...Studying in VIT ...is it worth.. is it better if we take Hostel or take a house nearby I got Computer Science and Engineering with Specialization in bioinformatics..is it good? With this branch Can I join Microsoft , Cisco and other Big IT Companies??
Hi Nikilesh!
VIT is popular for its placement records especially for CSE department. As you mentioned that you have been allotted a seat in bioinformatics branch. There are many companies which visit the campus for computer science engineering bioinformatics placement process and they are as follows:
Accenture ; Amazon ; Ashok Leyland; Bank of America; Blue Star; Capital IQ; Cisco Systems; Cognizant; Deloitte ; Ebay; Ericsson India; Ford Motors; GODREJ; Google ; HONEYWELL; HP ; Intel ; Microsoft; Oracle; PayPal ; PayU ; Shopclues.Com ; Snapdeal ; TCS; Wipro etc. with average salary package of 5-6 LPA and highest salary package upto 21 LPA.
VIT hostel facilities are up to the mark from mess, hygienic food, cleanliness, sports facilities, study area/common room to washrooms. And students are allowed to choose campus hostels. If you wish to take campus hostel then you can do so, but if you wish to take any other private hostel, PG or flat outside the campus hostel then it is your choice. Charges of private hostels are less than that of campus hostels.
Thankyou!
How is ICE branch at NSUT? Do tech companies like Google, Microsoft allow ice students for placements?
NSUT(NETAJI Subhash University of Technology) is very good college in all aspects for engineering students.Campus Recruitment Programme conducted by the institute is very vital and crucial for the young engineers aspiring for appropriate placement in Government Departments,Multi-National Companies,Public Sector Undertakings etc.A close interaction between the institute and various company executives has created excellent placement record. The students placement coordinators actively participate in organising campus recruitment programme. In NSUT 172 number of companies/Industries come for campus recruitment from which total 640 number of students get successful placements.ICE branch is 1 of the oldest branch of NSUT,it is definitely the good one.It gives you very good academic background. The quality of labs and faculties of ICE branch is very good.Almost 80% to 90% software companies allow placement to ICE branch. You can get the jobs in all the government PSUs and private sector core companies. You can also go for researchers.Students get placed in both tech and non tech roles.Almost all the big IT companies come for the campus recruitment which offers great packages.Average package of ICE branch is around 10 to 12 lakhs.Yes companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon,Adobe etc.,do provide placements for ICE students.
MCA or Msc Ai for software Engineer in big companies like Google Microsoft?
hi,
see at per latest job scenario and recruitment criteria of big software Industries , your degree does not matter, the only thing which matter is your skills, if you have good technical knowledge of programming, software tools, testing skills and have problem solving abilities you can get a decent paying job. along with software skills you need good communication and presentation skill.
hope it would help.
Companies like Google, Microsoft or Amazon allow all branches to sit in their placements in DTU?
Dear Student,
Actually it depends upon the position they want to recruit like if they come here for software developer post then definitely they will allow only CSE/IT student to sit campus placement not any other branch. You should also know that Google, Microsoft, Amazon etc. are product based companies and they mostly hire student from CSE/IT group only.
If you also want a place in this company then you need the develop the required skill and then apply for the off campus placement where your branch doesn't matter, whether you are from mechanical or microbiology, you just need to develop the required skill.
Best Of Luck!!!

Yes, ideally there is no restriction by any of these companies for any of the CSE Specialization and are allowed to sit along with IT, CSE as well as ECE Students.
Secondly, Information Security is a subject attaining wide importance today. Data Security, Cyber Vigilance, Ethical Hacking, Big Data and Information Science are effective fields of interests.

Hello Everyone I am a B.Sc Mathematical Sciences student of DU. I am interested in Python programming language and want to become a data scientist. In my college no company is coming for placements. For being placed what should I do? How can I get a job in Google, Microsoft and Amazon?
Its great to know youre interested in the IT/Software/Analytics Service Sector. What I would suggest you is after B.Sc. in Mathematical Sciences, you must pursue MCA from some of the Best NITs or Top Public or Private Universities having strong Placement Prospects. Especially the NITs, you need to ace the NIMCET Examination followed by securing Admission in MCA, and hence a strong career in the IT/Software/Services Industry.
Other Option could be pursuing a M.Sc./MS in Quantitative Economics, Mathematics & Statistics or Computational Sciences from Eminent Institutes like ISI Kolkata and its branches like ISI Delhi. ISI Kolkata and New Delhi, really have Good Placements. And after M.Sc. or after some years of Work experience post M.Sc., if seriously interested, you may even pursue M.Tech in CS/Mathematics & Computing/ Data Science from some of the Top Institutes in India.
What should I do so that in future I cab do job in companies like apple, microsoft,Google etc!!! which course??? which exam???
Hi Aspirant,
See there are various jobs in all these sectors. But the main work there is technology and computeristics development. So obviously get admitted to a good engineering colleges in CSE branch through JEE examination(MAIN or ADVANCED).After that study the fourth years properly and get easily placed in companies like GOOGLE,MICROSOFT that often comes to the college for recruiting students.Try to get into IIT in order to get a lucrative salary package.
Hope it helps!!
does campany like Amazon microsoft give 40 lakh package in off campus if the candidate is not from a known colleges
Hello aspirant,
If we talk about the package so it is correct that they gives this much package.
But the hiring is only from NIT and IITs , also the exam of hiring is very tough and required very much skills.
The students who has good skills and also have good knowledge in the programming and also are from NIT in IIT, they can crack the exam and get the job in this companies.
Hope this helps you
