Hi,
With a rank of 5.3 lakh in JEE Mains, getting a mechanical seat in PMEC Berhampur through normal OJEE counselling is very difficult, especially if you're an out-of-state candidate. OJEE mostly reserves seats for Odisha state students in the earlier rounds, and only a few institutional spot rounds might consider others.
However, if the college has vacant seats in September’s spot/institutional round, and they allow direct admission based on vacant quota, there’s a chance you could be considered. The issue is many Odisha colleges do not allow out-of-state students unless stated clearly by OJEE.

You can also consider other private colleges in nearby states that may accept your score.
Thank you!
With a percentile of 64.38, your approximate rank is around 60,000. While top-tier colleges like VJTI, SPIT, and KJ Somaiya are out of reach, you still have a chance in several mid-tier autonomous colleges in the Mumbai and Navi Mumbai region through later CAP rounds.
Colleges like VESIT (Chembur) and Shah & Anchor (SAKEC) are autonomous and occasionally have vacancies in the Electronics or Electronics & Telecommunication branches during later rounds, though their general cutoff usually stays within the top 15,000. On the other hand, Pillai College of Engineering (Panvel) and SIES GST (Nerul) have slightly more flexible cutoffs and are known to accept students with ranks closer to yours, especially in the Electronics-related branches.
Yes. If a student:
Does not meet attendance requirements ,
Performs poorly in internal/external assessments,
Fails to keep up with the heavy academic load ,
then they can fail or be barred from continuing. So far, while there's no exact failure percentage, student reviews highlight that failure is possible , especially for those who treat the course lightly.
Hello,
Yes, having a 77 percentile in MHT-CET gives you a good opportunity for admission into a mid-tier engineering college in Amravati, particularly if you belong to a reserved category like OBC, SC, ST, or EWS.
Institutions such as Sipna College of Engineering and Technology, P.R. Pote Patil College of Engineering and Technology, and HVPM College of Engineering are viewed as good choices in the area for fields like Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
Nonetheless, securing leading branches such as CSE or IT can be somewhat competitive, so it's wise to maintain options across various branches during counseling. Ensure you engage fully in the CAP rounds and prioritize your selections judiciously, taking into account the cutoff trends from the previous year.
Hope this helps. All the best!
A raw CUET score of 403 places you in a moderate zone college and getting admission to a Zoology (Hons) program in Delhi University (DU) will depend on few things like your percentile in the CUET (not just the raw score), Category you belong to General/OBC/SC/ST/EWS, Course & College demand you wants to take, Round-wise seat allocation you can may get a better college in later rounds. As every year, cutoffs change, so you should not depend only on the first round data. Zoology (Hons) is a popular course in the science stream, so top colleges like Miranda House, Hindu College, or Hansraj have high cutoffs every year . However, with a CUET score of 403, you can still target mid to lower-tier DU colleges, especially in spot rounds or later merit lists releases.
Some of the DU colleges you can get depending on category and cutoffs like :
Swami Shraddhanand College,Motilal Nehru College (Evening),Aditi Mahavidyalaya,Dyal Singh College (Evening) and ,Bhagini Nivedita College.
But don't worry some students with scores around 400 got admission in evening colleges in previous years, especially in later rounds. Cutoffs fluctuate, so keeping track of spot round seats really helps. Also, since DU now uses CUET percentile for seat allotment, not just raw scores, you should check your percentile and preferred college’s previous cutoff data for a more accurate idea.
Make sure to fill in as many choices as possible during CSAS counselling, Don’t miss spot rounds they often have relaxed cutoffs,Keep checking DU’s official admission portal for updates
