Mining engineer
Dear candidate,
You can always do coding and go for tech jobs. You will have enough time to grab a good tech company if you start early. Mostly companies allow a non cs candidate for placement but if some doesn't, you can always go for off campus placements.
All the best!!
Hi,
Hope you are doing well.
It is not necessary to study mining engineering if you are not good at mathematics. Every engineering course, from computer engineering to metallurgy engineering, includes math. If you are not excellent in math, I recommend you pursue a career in the arts rather than a diploma/science/commerce profession. But it is entirely up to you where you go and what field you are interested in. So make a wise decision. Because the entire future will be determined by this.
You can take any branch for engineering, Just here you need is daily practice of maths related subjects during each semester and pass the exams, That's it.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck!
You may rather pursue Computer Science. You just need to be strong with basics of Mathematics and Statistics, and you can easily ace CSE or IT. This branch even has fair share of career scope and placement prospects. Dont take something like Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, you'll be trapped in Equations and Calculus throughout your 4 year duration.
Hi aspirant,
Every branch of engineering has its own significance and role to play for humanity. Similar is the case with Production Engineering amd Mining Engineering. The foremost thing is that of you have interest in any one of these two, then go for it. Else You should go with Production Engineering. As Production Engineering is a derivative branch of Mechanical Engineering, you can work as a mechanical engineer and have better job prospects. Unlike Mining Engineering, the scope of production engineering is more and broader. The placement is also good in case on production engineering. However, you may note that placement varies from college to college. Amd if you have serious interest in mining then go for it.
Hope it helps you.
Hyy,
In mining branch you do not need a good CGPA instead practical knowledge is more important for placements although certain companies may ask for a specific minimum cutoff. But placements are sure if you have a good knowledge of the mining subject. You can gain this by going to the mining fields.
I would suggest you to go for mining engineering but you should decide based on your preferences and on the subjects and career choice that you are interested in.
I hope that helps you to make a wiser decision. Rest, the success in any field depends upon your own quest to knowledge, hard work & networking skills. All the best for your future endeavors.

Also, NIT Surathkal is ranked higher as compared to the above mentioned NITs.
NIT Rourkela for b tech in mining has the highest fees as compare to the other mentioned NITs.
