Hello,
The placement record of NIT Mizoram for B. Tech. ECE is pretty good. Last year around 71% of the students were successfully placed. The highest package offered was around INR 17 LPA and the average package offered was around INR 6 LPA. Top companies which came for campus placements last year were: IBM, Infosys, WIPRO, Tech Mahindra, L&T, etc.
Hope this helps!
Hey there
It depends on your current situations like if NIT mizoram is the best option you have for now then you should definitely go for it. There are various reasons
1. ECE is a core branch and you will have wide job opportunity after your B.Tech.
2. NIT mizoram has NIT tag and many companies only visit Brand colleges so you will be benefited during placements.
3. Cutoffs are quite lower and thus there is higher chance of getting selected.

NIT Mizoram is a low ranked NIT as compared to Sastra University. Sastra University has nirf ranking 31. Both universities provides good placement opportunities to students. Other factors such as strict discipline, guidelines in Sastra University is better as compared to the nit Mizoram. Faculty members are highly qualified and experienced in both campuses. But more exposure is provided in Sastra University and to compare, not Mizoram organizes many GIAN courses which are not available in many of private institutions.
Hi
As per your question Based on level of packages, freedom , enjoyment , sorts of students, NITs are the
simplest !! they can not be compared with sastra
But coming to research and prospectus sastra possesses all techs, professors and facilities as par with
NITs !! I remember NITT don’t even have a correct organised material lab . Lab facilities here in sastra is
basically excellent .
the school research outcomes in terms of citations is as equal as a school from nit trichy. apart from the
rationale that students (both in ug and pg) in NITs likes to do research whereas usually students here
does that for placements . and therefore the NUMBER of quality faculties are higher in NITs compared
to sastra. As far as i do know , from engineering quite 50% of the schools are IITs or NITs alumni's.
sastra got its alumni’s to top universities within the world ( MIT, Harvard, Caltech, UTAustin etc)!!!
Based on the extent of freedom , rules and fun factor sastra definitely cannot be compared with NITs.
It’s far higher in NITs.
PS:usually people coming with research interests are megere compared to NITs ! they typically come
here for placements.
Hope helpful.
