My son has been alloted a seat in Mizoram University in CSAB Round 1....However he is looking for NIT or IIIT in mainland... The option alloted is 105...I want to know, whether there will be another filling of option in Round 2 or if he will be considered only from 104 options
Hello Madam/Sir,
There are two cases, your son has option to choose float or surrender and participate in CSAB Special round -2. If he exercise 'Float' it implies that he accepts the seat offered in special round 1 and if a higher preference in the given choices in any institute is offered in the special round 2, he will accept it. If seat is not allotted in the special round 2 the previous will be retained. If the seat is allotted then the previous seat allotment will be cancelled. If he exercises surrender and participate in special round 2 then the seat will gets cancelled which was allotted in special round 1 and the choices above the already allotted seat will be considered for seat allocation. If no seat is allotted in special round 2 the previous seat allotment cannot be claimed. In both cases the choice of institute/branch in the higher preference will be considered for seat allocation. So yes, the options above the 105th option will be considered for special round 2 if he exercise float or surrender and participate in special round 2 option.
