Hi Aspirant,
I hope you are doing well.
GATE refers to the graduate aptitude test for engineering. This is one of the most important competitive exams for engineering students. This national exam is conducted for graduate admission to major institutions such as IIT and NIIT. However, there are some German universities that also accept GATE scores. GATE-Score is valid only for 3 years from the date of announcement of the results. In addition, students also need to have a significant portion of their bachelor's degree. There are about 25 areas where this GATE test will be conducted. Below are some of the German universities that accept GATE scores.
1. The courses for which you can apply for the RWTH Aachen University GATE qualification in Germany are:
Physics
Biomedical engineering
Vehicle technology
Software system technology
Media informatics
2. The courses applicable to the GATE qualification holder of Technische Universität München, Germany are as follows.
Civil engineering
Electrical and computer engineering
Mechanical engineering
Apart from the GATE score, candidates must appear on the IELTS or TOEFL exam according to university / college requirements and achieve a good score to prove their English proficiency.
Thank you

In order to apply for MS in Physics, you may have to appear for GRE if you are applying in the Universities of USA or Canada.
You may want to shortlist the locations of your Universities before preparing for entrance exams, as many countries may not need you to appear for GRE. The procedure for admissions in Universities abroad vary based on their locations.
Many East Asian University may offer you scholarship (eg:MET) however you may not have to appear for any entrances, these universities will focus on your work portfolio, your SOP and strong LORs and Language Exams.
Whereas universities in USA or Canada may expect you to appear for GRE.
I hope this helps.
Hi there,
Pursuing a B.tech course is itself very good as per current times. There are various opportunities in different- different fields. An individual will get opportunities based on their skills. Coming to your question, Doing MS is a wonderful idea for sure.
See, pursuing a MS Degree from countries like USA, UK, GERMANY etc brings various opportunities as well. It is for sure that in India civil engineering from a Tier-1 college is better as you will be able to fetch jobs easily. But in other countries it has a very good scope.
See, if you are planning to invest and then targetting to work in India can be a risky option for you as well. Investing in such a costly degree from abroad will surely take ages to recover if you work in India. So, choose wisely.
There are no issues in doing MS from abroad.
Hope you understand. Still in case if you face any doubt, kindly revert back!!
Thank you and make a wise decision!
Hi,
The best country to do MS in is definitely USA. There are many different colleges there but Georgia Institute of Technology will be the best to do your MS from. The academic, faculty, infrastructure and placements are really good. You can apply for scholarships. Also the best country to do Civil Engineering jobs from is definitely Dubai.
I hope this helps,
All the best.
hello aspirant,
Since you have not mentioned your category and other relevant details, it is little difficult to predict precisely whether you will get any government colleges or not.
However, looking at the previous year cutoff trends, you have some chance to get a seat in PES University, SIT, BNM colleges and some other decent to low colleges.
I hope that it will help.
