M.Sc.
With 55.75 marks in NFAT 2025 and SC category, you have a fair chance of getting admission in newer NFSU campuses or UPFICS Lucknow. Main campus seats are tougher due to higher cutoffs.
After completing your Integrated MSc in Basic Sciences, you’ve got a few good directions to consider. If you’re research-inclined, go for a PhD in India like in IISc, IITs, or JNCASR or even apply abroad. If you prefer jobs, look into scientific research roles in CSIR/DRDO/ISRO, or even teaching jobs in colleges after clearing NET or SET exams. Alternatively, explore roles in data science, science communication, clinical research, or patent analysis—all fields that value analytical skills from science grads.
Thanks for your thoughtful question and good wishes ahead!
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University (DDU) Gorakhpur has not yet released the cutoff marks for M.Sc. Zoology admission for the year 2025. The university is expected to release the cutoff list by the last week of July 2025.
To apply for M.Sc. Zoology, students from the general category must have at least 55 percent marks in their B.Sc. degree. This is the minimum eligibility needed.
In past years, DDU has not shared the exact cutoff marks publicly. Admission is based on the marks scored in the university's entrance exam. Students with higher marks in the entrance test have better chances of getting selected.
Once the cutoff list is published, you will be able to check if your marks meet the required level for admission in the general category. Counselling is expected to start from 24 July 2025.
