If you haven't taken CUET, JAM, or GATE but still want to pursue an MSc in Data Science , consider applying to universities and colleges that offer admission based on your B.Sc. CS marks and may conduct their own entrance exams or interviews. Here are a few options to explore:

Central Universities:

Delhi University:

Offers MSc in Computer Science with a Data Science specialization, admissions are based on merit in your B.Sc. marks.

Jadavpur University:

Provides MSc in Data Science, with potential for admission based on merit and an interview.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU):

Offers MSc in Computer Science with a Data Science specialization, consider checking their admission criteria.

Private Universities:

Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT): Has a dedicated MSc in Data Science program with flexible admission criteria.

University of Madras:

Consider their MSc in Computer Science program for potential Data Science focus.

Important Points to Consider:

Check individual university websites:

Each institution has its own admission criteria, so carefully review their eligibility requirements and application process.

Contact the admissions office:

Reach out to the universities you are interested in to inquire about their admission process and if they offer any alternative pathways for admission without entrance exams.

Focus on your B.Sc. performance:

Ensure you have a strong academic record in your B.Sc. CS to enhance your application.

Highlight relevant skills:

Emphasize any data science skills you have acquired through projects, internships, or online courses in your application.

Prepare for potential interviews:

Some universities may conduct personal interviews as part of the admission process.

Hello Himanshi,

Yes, after completing an M.Sc. in Cardiovascular Technology , you can assist surgeons during cardiovascular surgeries, but your role will be as a perfusionist or cardiovascular technologist , not as a primary surgical assistant.

Your Role in Surgery:

  1. Operating the heart-lung machine and monitoring blood circulation.
  2. Assisting in angioplasty, bypass surgeries, and valve replacements.
  3. Monitoring vital parameters during surgery.
  4. Providing technical support to surgeons and anesthetists.

    Limitations:
  • You cannot perform surgeries or make incisions like a surgeon.
  • To become a surgical first assistant , you would need additional training in surgical technology or a medical degree (MBBS + MS/MCh).

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Msc ai and ml from christ banglore or msc cs with ai from cusat(cohin university of science and technology. which is better?

Prachi Kumari 12th Feb, 2025

Hello,

Christ University Bangalore is better for industry exposure because it is in the AI hub of India. It has strong placements and an updated curriculum focused on AI and ML applications. However, the fees are higher, and it is more industry-oriented than research-focused.

CUSAT is a government university with lower fees and a strong research focus. It is better if you are interested in deep research and academics. Placements may not be as strong as Christ University, but the course structure is solid.

If you want jobs in AI/ML quickly, choose Christ. If you prefer research, choose CUSAT.

Hope it helps !

Yes, you are eligible for M.Sc. in IITs if you meet these criteria:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree : Minimum required percentage (usually 55-60% or CGPA 6-6.5).

  2. Backlogs Cleared : Since you cleared your backlog and have 70%+ aggregate , it won’t affect eligibility.

  3. Entrance Exam : You must qualify for IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc.).

Check specific IIT eligibility for your desired course before applying.

i had a backlog in my 3 rd sem i had cleared it in 5th have a aggregate more than 70 per .. i am eligible for msc in iits?

Sanjana 10th Feb, 2025

Hello,

Yes, you are eligible for MSc programs in IITs if you meet the following criteria:

  1. Aggregate Percentage: Most IITs require at least 55% (for General/OBC) or 50% (for SC/ST/PwD) in your qualifying degree. Since your aggregate is more than 70% , you meet this criterion.
  2. Backlogs: IITs generally allow students who have cleared all backlogs before applying. Since you have already cleared your backlog , it should not be an issue.
  3. Entrance Exam: Admission to MSc programs in IITs is primarily through IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test for MSc) . You need to qualify for JAM and secure a good rank.
