Candidates seeking admission to the Master of Social Work programme offered at the St. Joseph's University, Bengaluru must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognised University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in all subjects (45% marks in aggregate for SC/ ST/ Category I candidates) as well as 50% marks in the cognate or major subjects. General category candidates who have passed the three-year Bachelor’s Degree examination of the Bangalore University or any other equivalent university with the respective subject as optional/ major/ special/ main subject are eligible to apply for admission. Postgraduate candidates will have to indicate their cognate subject while entering the marks.

The MSW full form is Master of Social Work, is a postgraduate degree programme in Social work. Candidates from any branch can opt this course. Various colleges and education institutions offer the MSW course. 

To be eligible to apply for the MSW programme at Kaziranga University candidates need to pass a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 45 per cent marks in aggregate from any recognized university (40 per cent for SC/ST category). The MSW course is for a duration of two years.
