Nanotechnology vs artificial intelligence which is best career for future ??

Hi aspirant, since both nanotechnology and AI both are the very new areas for new technologies it do have vast roots of branches which open doors to various career options.

Now coming on the AI it do possess careers in the fields of big data, robotics and Internet of things.

Whereas Nanotechnology possess careers In biotechnology, agriculture, food, genetics, space research, medicine etc.

So overall both have vast career option one can opt on behalf of their interests.

What are the career options for Nanotechnology:

One can find job as nanotechnologists; specialists or scientists. The areas where a nanotechnologist can seek employment include biotechnology, agriculture, food, genetics, space research, medicine and so on. Job opportunities are also available in National Physical Laboratory, Indian Institute of Astrophysics etc. Candidates with Ph.D can also join as faculty members in Universities and colleges or research fields.

Btech(nanotechnology) available in iits or not??

No there is no B.E/B.Tech in Nano technology course in IITs. There are only 11 colleges in India with B.E/B.Tech in Nano technology course.

what will be salary in DRDO after completing mtech in nanotechnology

Hello,

The salary varies from grade of Scientists. After completing M.Tech in Nanotechnology if you wish to join DRDO as Scientist then initial salary varies from Rs. 50,000 per month to Rs. 2,50,000 per month depending on the Scientist grade, experience and expertise. In DRDO there are also Technical Cadre and for that selection is based on DRDO CEPTAM. For this average salary will be around Rs. 30,000 per month.

To join DRDO after completion of M.Sc in Biotechnology you must have GATE score. Some times the selection is based on GATE score and interview. But now the selection is based on GATE score and Internal exam followed by Interview for Post of scientist.

Hi aspirant,

The ISRO scientists get pretty good amount of salary. Its one of the most respectable job for any student interested in science.

The pay scale for ISRO engineer/ scientist is around from 50,000- 1,00,000 Basic

Also they get extra allowances and perks with this.

Apart from this they may get other allowances and free medical services.

Every year ISRO releases vacancies for MTECH NANOTECHNOLOGY. The main area of study and R&D in ISRO for Nanotechnology is in the following sections:

  • Synthesis of Nano Materials
  • Nano material design
  • Nano-Photonics

You will get a lot of scope mainly in the branches of Material Science and optical technology labs.

unfortunately you cannot work at a government job while pursuing your education of post graduation in MTech. However, you may pursue a distance course of MTech while pursuing your job at the same time. It is best advised that you seek advise from your job as well, regarding their policies of pursuing your post graduation education while still working.

Yes, you are eligible for a job in ISRO after mtech. There are many opportunities for a job in ISRO. You can apply for roles like Project Associate 1 and the upper limit of age should be 35. And these 35 years are the upper limits for some specific roles, you will get many benefits along with monthly Emoluments like HRA, Medical Benefits etc.
