I want to do Mtech. in nanotechnology. what course can I persue for Btech?

mansiprofessional234 Student Expert 8th Oct, 2020
Hey
The eligibility criteria for M. Tech nanotechnology is b. Tech passed with a minimum percentage of 50% . So it doesn't matter which subject you are pursuing B. Techwith , you are equally eligible for M. Tech nanotechnology. But  its better if you pursue b. Tech in some technical field like EEE or IT  for better understanding of technology.
Hope it helps!

Sir, this Ganesh. I have 1281 rank in cs paper and 18 th rank in Nanotechnology paper. And I am from CSE background. Which one should I consider. And I am under reserved category(ST). What is the cut off for JNTUH and OU and can get seat in anyone of these universities for CSE or IT, or if else Nano

Tarreni Behera 17th Nov, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

It is highly unlikely for you to get admission for a post graduation program fin computer science engineering in either of the two public/government universities that you want to get admission in.

You have earned yourself an extremely high rank. At a rank greater than 1200 in AP PGECET in cse, there is no way that you can get admission in any of the government institutes of the state. The government institutes of the state have very less number of seats and hence the competition is extremely intense. Infact the number of seats are so limited that it pales in comparison to the number of applicants.

The number of mtech seats available for cse in both the Institutes is only 25 each. Although you have ST reservation, still your chances are almost zero as you still need a good quota rank and the number of reservation seats are also very limited.b

As far as nanotechnology is concerned, you have great chances of getting an mtech seat in that branch. A rank of 18 is quite excellent and you may find admission in either Osmania University or in JNTUH. These universities have like 18 mtech seats for nanotechnology. Furthermore, you have a solid backup of Scheduled Tribe reservation.

Hopefully, you will get admission in nanotechnology. If you want to know which of the two Institutes is better for an mtech in nanotechnology, you can just compare these Institutes to know that. In order to compare colleges, all you need to do is to just click on this URL:-

This is a great comparison tool and shall be able to answer your queries in relevant aspects related to college admission. Good luck.

DOES NIT CALICUT OR SURATHKAL( NANOTECHNOLOGY) IS BETTER FOR PLACEMENTS

Aniket Prasad 19th Aug, 2020

Hello,

While it is a bit ambiguous with what you are comparing NIT Surathakal Nanotech. But talking in general, these two colleges are more or less in same level. If a company visits either of the two colleges, it generally visits the other too.

Speaking of general placements, past recruiters of both the colleges features traditional heavyweights. Even in the department like nanoscience. You will be having a secured future and can think of other parameters leaving placements aside.

Personally speaking, I going for NIT Surathakal might be a better option keeping in mind it's location and other things.

Hope it helps.
