National Eligibility cum Entrance Test
Hello,
Altho admission to the bachelor of homeopathic medicine and surgery program in India often requires passing the National Eligibility CUM Entrance Test (NEET), some universities may provide other routes, such as state level entrance tests aur direct admission based on merit, which avoid NEET. The most popular and generally recognised admission test for BHMS, however, is NEET. For BHMS, the annual minimum tuition at Government universities can arrange from INR 20,000 to INR 1,50,000, where as at private colleges, it can rain from INR 80,000 to INR 9 lakh.

With 350 marks and an All India Rank of 315626, securing a government medical seat in Andhra Pradesh under the BC-D category is unlikely, but there might be a chance in private medical colleges.
While being in the BC-D category provides some reservation, the cutoff ranks for government colleges are usually much lower.
Private medical colleges may offer seats to students with 350 marks, but the fees would be higher.
If MBBS is not possible, explore Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) options, which may have lower cutoffs.
Consult with educational advisors or counseling services for personalized guidance based on the latest NEET trends and Andhra Pradesh specific information.

Thank you!!
With a NEET score of 328 and an estimated rank around 364,000 in the SC category from Bihar, getting into BAMS through state quota is unlikely. You meet the minimum eligibility requirement, but top government colleges like Government Ayurvedic College Patna generally close much earlier, well below your rank. If you're determined to pursue BAMS, you might consider reappearing next year or exploring private colleges, though these come with higher fees and different admission criteria.
To apply for MBBS through your NEET score, you need to register for counselling under both the All India Quota and your state quota. For All India Quota, you can apply through the MCC portal, and for your home state, you need to register on the state counselling portal when it opens. You’ll need documents like your NEET result, category certificate, 10th and 12th marksheets, photo ID, and passport-sized photos.
Government medical colleges usually have high cutoffs, so getting a seat depends heavily on your category and score. If your score isn’t high enough for a government seat, you can still apply to private medical colleges or deemed universities, though the fees will be much higher. You can also explore management quota or NRI quota seats if needed. Once counselling starts, fill in as many realistic choices as possible to improve your chances.

With a NEET 2025 score of 306 marks, an AIR of 4,27,000, a category rank of 2,27,000, and a state merit rank of 16,891 in Andhra Pradesh, your prospects of obtaining a Category A (government quota) seat in private dental colleges within the AU area are moderate to possible, particularly if you remain engaged throughout all counselling rounds, including mop-up.
Institutions such as GSL Dental College and GITAM Dental College are somewhat competitive, yet still attainable with this score, particularly for SC/ST/BC categories or in circumstances involving vacant seats during mop-up.
Securing a government MBBS seat with this score is likely to be quite challenging due to intense competition; however, obtaining a Category A BDS seat at a private college under the state quota is considerably more feasible, especially if you remain flexible and approach each round with patience.
It is wise to secure your choices intelligently, keep informed about Andhra Pradesh Dr. NTRUHS counselling, and participate in document verification and mop-up rounds, since seats may become available from withdrawals. Indeed, there’s a good possibility that you could obtain a BDS seat in a private college under Category A if you remain committed throughout the counselling process.
Hope this helps. All the best!
