My marks in neet 2025 are 476 and General ews category Can I get a mbbs seat in goverment college

gopi 19th Jun, 2025

Hello Jatin,

Based on 476 marks in NEET 2025 and in General-EWS category, it is important to remember that obtaining an MBBS seat in a government medical college is dependent on your state of domicile and the cut-off trajectory of that year.

  • For All India Quota (15%) - General-EWS - the cut-off is usually above 600 in most government colleges.
  • For State Quota (85%) - conditions are better if you belong to a state which has lower cut-offs or a lesser number of top rankers. North Eastern states, Bihar, Rajasthan, or Chhattisgarh are likely to have lower cut-offs in EWS category but 476 is still borderline.

You may have a better chance in:

  1. Semi-government/ESIC colleges
  2. Deemed universities with EWS seats
  3. Private colleges with government quota fees

I got 248 marks in neet 2025 from st category, and I am from gujrat.can I get admission in mbbs in private medical college??

OISHEE BANERJEE 19th Jun, 2025

With 248 marks in NEET 2025 and belonging to the ST category from Gujarat, you have qualified the exam, which is the first step toward admission. However, getting a government MBBS seat may be quite difficult at this score, as the ST cutoff for government colleges in Gujarat usually stays higher—often around 350 to 400 or more.

Still, you do have a chance of getting an MBBS seat in a private medical college, especially under the ST category. Gujarat has private colleges that reserve seats for reserved category students, and the cutoffs there are generally lower than government colleges. Your chances improve further during the mop-up or stray vacancy rounds, depending on how seats remain vacant.

Make sure to participate in Gujarat state counselling and keep checking for updated cutoff data, especially for private colleges with category-wise seat allotments.

All the best!

Sir I have a question sir maine neet form main apna permanent address fill Kiya tha jo up ka h aur wahi mere adhar card me bhi h pr main pichle 15 saal se apne parents ke saath mp main rehti hoo kya main apna adhar card me address update kar skti hoo mp ka mere parents ki voter id ,samagr id aur meri bhi samagr id h mp ki toh kya main apna address adhar card me update kara skti hoo kya koi problem hogi mujhe mp state counseling main

preeti kataria 4th Jul, 2025

If you filled your permanent address from UP in the NEET form but you currently live or study in a different state then it usually does not affect your NEET eligibility However, for state quota counselling your domicile certificate matters more than the address written in the form

If you want admission in UP state quota you must have

  • UP domicile certificate
  • Or completed your education from UP

So don’tworry about the permanent address. What matters for state quota is domicile proof, not just the address written in the NEET form.

My father is working in CISF and I am BC A female from Andhra Pradesh Do we have CAP CATEGORY FOR NEET STATE COUNSELLING OF ANDHRA PRADESH PLEASE HELP ME

OISHEE BANERJEE 19th Jun, 2025

Yes, if your father is working in CISF and you are a BC-A female candidate from Andhra Pradesh, you are eligible to apply under the CAP (Children of Armed Personnel) category during NEET state counselling. The CAP quota is available in Andhra Pradesh for candidates whose parents are serving or retired personnel from the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Central Armed Police Forces like CISF. Andhra Pradesh offers 1 percent reservation under the CAP category in the 85 percent state quota for MBBS and BDS admissions.

Since you also belong to the BC-A category and are a female candidate, you can benefit from multiple reservations. The BC-A category is a vertical reservation, and Andhra Pradesh also offers 33 percent horizontal reservation for female candidates. CAP is considered a horizontal reservation, so it will be applied along with your category and gender, which can improve your chances of getting a seat in both government and private medical colleges.

To make use of the CAP quota, you must have the necessary documents like a CAP certificate issued by the Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer, along with your caste, domicile, and educational certificates. Make sure to upload all the correct documents during the NEET state counselling registration process conducted by Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences. The counselling is expected to start around August 2025, and includes multiple rounds and a mop-up round. Keep checking the official website for updates and prepare your documents in advance to avoid last-minute issues.

I have 152 marks in neet 2025 i want to do MBBS via NRI quota is there any options available for me

SHUBHANGI SINHA 22nd Jun, 2025

Hello,

It may be difficult, but not impossible, to get into a prestigious Indian medical college through the NRI quota with 152 NEET 2025 scores. Although there may still be fierce competition for these spots, private and government colleges with NRI quotas are viable choices.

For information on these colleges' precise eligibility requirements, cost schedules, and application processes for NRI quota seats, get in touch with the admissions offices.

I have 152 marks in neet 2025 i want to do MBBS via NRI quota is there any options available for me

SHUBHANGI SINHA 25th Jun, 2025

Hello,

You have very little chance of gaining and MBBS seat through The NRI quota with 152 NEET 2025 scores, but it is still feasible. Few important considerations are your budget, college preference, and open seats in the stray vacancy rounds.

Even for NRI seats, elite private/deemed institutions (Kasturba, KMC, SRM, Amrita, etc.) demand better NEET scores.

However, in the mop - up aur stray vacancy rounds, several lower tire private medical institutions in states like Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh could grant NRI Kota seats.

Requirements:

  • Valid NRI documents(passport, sponsorships letter, and NRI affidavit) are required.
  • Early registration on the MCC and the corresponding state counselling portals.
  • Pay attention to the counselling offered by Deemed University (via MCC)

I have 152 marks in neet 2025 i want to do MBBS via NRI quota is there any options available for me

gopi 19th Jun, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

While having 152 marks in NEET 2025 does not disqualify you from studying MBBS through NRI, opportunities will be very limited depending on the state and college. You may still be able to enter a deemed private university or a self-funded medical college in places like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka or Uttar Pradesh that offers NRI seats with a lower cutoff, but under the NRI quota your fees are significantly higher. Here are the recommendations you can keep that in mind:

  • Look at deemed universities like SRM, Saveetha, Manipal, or DY Patil that have NRI seats.
  • Check the updates from the MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) and State counselling universities.
  • You will have to provide valid NRI sponsorship documents.

With 176 marks in NEET 2025 and AIR rank of 900000 , what are the chances of getting a BAMS seat in management quota or deemed university and what would be the charges?

Anushree Thakare 5th Jul, 2025

Hello student,

With a NEET 2025 score of 176 and an All India Rank (AIR) of 900,000, securing a BAMS seat in a government college through the regular counseling process is highly unlikely.

There is a possibility of getting a seat in private or deemed universities through the management quota, though the competition and fees there will be higher.

Fees for management quota seats in private and deemed universities can range from INR 2 lakhs to INR 6 lakhs or more per year.

Thank you!!

All india cutoff for goa in neet 2025

Sajal Trivedi 20th Jun, 2025

Hello aspirant,

The anticipated cutoff score for NEET 2025 in Goa may be between 450 and 550 for the general category and lower for the reserved categories.  Getting into reputable nursing schools is more likely if you score higher than this range.
